I wish I could borrow a doppler. I just want to know whether there is a heartbeat. I have no real reason to think there won't be. It's just that the stats say that if you hear the heartbeat after 10 wks the chances of miscarriage are reduced, but under usual circumstances they leave you to get to 12wks before you find out.
I wish they offered to listen for a heartbeat at the booking in appt that would have put my mind at rest.
On the plus side, it's only 8 days to my dating scan.

I feel exactly the same Pebbles. I am so worried that they're going to tell me that the baby has stopped growing at my 12 week scan. My symptoms seem to be so mild and it's making me so anxious. I've toyed with the idea of buying a doppler but I know that chances of finding the heartbeat are so slim at 9 weeks that I think this might just stress me out even more. I have my scan booked for the 28th October, so a bit of a wait yet.

That's great Kabuk X it's amazing isn't it how often is everyone using their Doppler ? My hubby is not happy about me using it everyday. X

I'm using my Doppler daily now.

Just once for a couple of minutes to hear that little heart beating away.

I've just had a quick listen in now and was able to get hubby in to hear it too.

Best sound ever.

Emily it's addictive! I love listening to it! This am we could hear my heartbeat and babies at the same time, amazing! X I also just find it quick listen and then stop x

Yeah I'm still hearing bubs alongside or underneath mine generally, but it's there for sure!

So reassuring!

This pregnancy has really been truly horrendous and I've been so so worried. But in those few moments, listening to his/her heart beating away in there, the worry and the fear just slips away. It doesn't last obviously as then I have to turn it off! Lol! But for a brief time everything is peaceful and calm and ok.

Argh wish I had one! Lol. So hope I get to order one on Thursday! Mind you one of my fabe hobby is to listen to hubby's heartbeat as he has a heart murmur and I love listening to it so I could use it on him lmao. Would also be interested to see if my heart mumur I developed when I had my heart issues last year is still there or if it's gone.

When they scan you, ask them if your uterus is still tipped backwards as mine righted itself between second and third pregnancy so it can sort itself apparently. You might be able to find hb easier if it's sorted?

They confirmed at my 5 and 7 week scan I was still backwards but it's supposed to come forward between weeks 10 and 12 I'm 9.3 now and I'm sure I can feel it moving got weird sensations in my gut and keep getting hard lumps of my intestines being pushed forward it feels like but then I still feel it erm pinching and stopping me farting easy lol. Then it will move slightly and my but becomes a one man band hubby finds it hilarious lol. I'm mortified!

do they know what happened? everything was OK at your scan last week your a lot stronger than I would be and good luck for when you ttc again xc
