May 2017 Mummies *NEW*

Are any of you planning on having the flu jab? My Mum was asking me yesterday and I forgot to mention it to midwife last week. Don't know if should have it. I think it's recommended for preg ladies isn't it? Xx

I've had it with previous pregnancies and will this time too.

The room my baby will have is currently housing our Guinea pigs! I had to move them indoors so she could have her babies! Hopefully the babies will be off to their new homes tomorrow though so that'll be one less cage in there!

Popped in to the birth centre to pick up my booking in pack so I can fill out my notes ready for booking in on Friday. Felt very overwhelmed going in there and nearly started crying!! Oh dear!!

Can you have it anytime during pregnancy or is it recommended between certain weeks? xx

I can't remember how far along I was with Cam when I had it but I think I was around 7 weeks when I had it with another pregnancy.

I'll check with MW at booking in when I have to have it.

Just checked my notes and it says it is safe to have at any stage in pregnancy and is available from Sept- Jan/Feb.

Ok, great thanks.
Have you got to fill in your notes from scratch. Mine were minimal as they already had it all on record from previous pregnancy xx

You should be having it around this time in order for it to be effective for the flu season. I had mine at my booking appt at 8 weeks.

My midwife didn't even mention it. I think Boots do them but I can't leave the house at the moment due to the sickness/dizziness. I will see how I feel over weekend maybe and get OH to drive me there and carry me out if needs be lol xx

I had it last time. I think I will have it again this time why not. I've never had flu but I think we are more likely too and I deal with children and *shudder* the general public on a daily basis at work.

Last time I was pregnant I went to the doc to change some pills to pregnancy safe ones and she just jabbed me there and then lol I must only have been 4 or 5 weeks.

At my booking in I was advised to get the flu jab and the whooping cough vaccine. I'll get both. Can't remember when, so I'll have to look into it.

So much to do. We are currently looking to buy our first home and thought we had found it, but due to it being ex-local, we couldn't get a lender who would give us a 90% LTV, so we are back out all this week looking at properties and now will have to move to a different location. We love our area, but we just can't afford anything other than ex-locals in the area, so back to where we used to live. It's not too bad, but the trains aren't as good, but at least there are sill parks and lots of families. I just wish it was over and done with. Too much going on. But it's all exciting. At least the property search is keeping me occupied.

Yeah I've got to do it all from scratch.... Again!

There's so many forms and the actual pregnancy booklet it takes like an hour just to fill it in!

Just hope it's worth all the effort this time and they don't end
up in the bin like the last two I've done!

I've got to go through all.mine with the midwife I don't get to fill anything in before hand... well except my maternity exception which I'm glad I've got now. Feel like I have something to prove I'm pregnant seeing as I don't have any scan pics yet. (Though the sickness is a pretty big clue too lol)

I've only been sent one sheet to fill in. Maybe I get more at the actual appointment? Not been offered any jabs either, assume they will mention that at my next appointment too. I'm undecided about them, I'm normally never ill and I don't really come into contact with the general public! I will most likely decide to have them though.

I got my notes in the post ready for Friday I've filled out as much as I can but it's confusing me lol

Yea I think you can pass some immunity down to bubs too at later stages gosh anyone else having trouble with temperature parts of me are hot parts cold I can't seem get it right!

The booking in appointment is usually about an hour long it's where you get your official green pregnancy notes they go through all sorts previous pregnancies family history they usually do blood and urine samples too. It's very in depth. I'm have my scan just before so I hope all is OK in there and I actually get to fill something in this time. Just realised that I should have got a mat exemption with 3 of my losses as they were all confirmed when still OK too. Dang could have been having free prescriptions for the past 3 years!

Previous pregnancies and family history are all on the one sheet. I thought there would be more stuff. I didn't realise you could still claim free prescriptions even if you lost the pregnancy. I've not got an exemption form either. Does it include eye tests? I really need to get mine done but if it includes them I'll wait until I get it!

You can't use the exemption card if you miscarry. You're supposed to send it back.
I'm not sure if it includes eye tests. I really need to apply for mine xx
