****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

Oh caseysmummy i wouldnt worry about adhd they never diagnose before age 6 anyways as all children are just naughty sometimes and can be horrors! But usually its just a phase and i guess our LOs are having to adapt to mummy being pregnant and becoming siblings etc. All new and daunting things for them. Try not to worry and enjoy the rest while you can xx

Thanks ladies re the heart beating, its not pleasant!

Thanks ladies. Will get drinking lots of water and see if that help. My oh is due home from work at 6 so he will take over while I rest hopefully. I hope that's the case buttonbear. I did think maybe it's him adjusting, there's been lots of changes the last 6 months as he changed nursery, we has to give our dog to my dad adms I could no longer walk her due to my hips and she pulls and didn't want her to suffer aa she's wuitea high energy dog. It's done her the world of good as my dad has lots of time and space for her and she's come out of her shell since plus my dad loves her and they have a great bond. In between that I found out I was pregnant and now we have to move and he's not been going to nursery like he was due to me being home so think it may be he just feels a hit unsettled atm hopefully he will feel settled soon xxx

Don't know whether any of you can offer any advice? Been to clinic this morning and baby is transverse. Had a c section with my son because he was breech and my girls either side were natural births. Early days yet but any advice on getting him to move? 24 weeks today x

Jessiecat will probably have some advice as im sure her baby was transverse and has moved, she tried lots of things to get baby to go head down which im sure she'll explain hun xxx

Thanks careysmummy I like that you thought of me hehe :)

Hi Charlie, unfortunately I am a bit of an expert on transverse lie. My first was never in any position but transverse and was born be c section after a month in hospital due to the risk of cord/limb prolapse. Then I got pregnant with this baby and he's been transverse since before the 20 week scan and was still lying this way ntil a few days ago.
I had been warned that the chances of having 2 babies fo that way would suggest a reason such as funny shaped womb as it was a massive coincidence but I didn't want to give in and accept this so I still tried everything to turn. He might not stay this way but I felt him turn a few days ago, I felt quite sick as he did so and then my sides were suddenly empty where id usually feel him. I cant work out if he's gone head down or breech but he is definately not transverse, I've definately never carried a baby this way before.
Soooo it wasn't fun but here's what I did...
Bought a gym ball and spent hours on it, not bouncing but rocking my pelvis back and forth.
Sitting straight, the more you slouch the mose gravity will pull them transverse.
Spent time on all fours (a great opportunity for hubby to rub my very sore back lol)
And the major killer move - my partner held me upside down for 30 seconds a couple of times a night.
All this done with crippling SPD
BUT baby has shifted sp it might have been the above and it might not but you can bet ol be repeating if he moves back.
Also try and reassure yourself with statistics, its very rare to go I to labour with baby still transverse only 2% of transverse babies will stay that way at full term so really don't panic yet but also no harm in guiding baby in to right position with the above :)
Good luck and sorry for super ling message xx

Thanks so much jessiecat. I know it's early still but I knew he was in a different position to the others as I've been really achy and as you say - full on each side. I'll keep you posted and definitely will be trying your suggestions. Thanks again xx

You're welcome! I hope it help! Transverse lie babies are notoriously difficult pregnancies which has been confirmed in both of mine so the sooner they turn the better but I know the midwives dont get concerned until 35/36 weeks.

Let me know how you get on and good luck! :)

I am obsessed with belly watching now, however the kicks are definitely stronger and making me feel peculiar x

So ladies today marks 99 days till due date!! Next little milestone achieved :yay:

Next one is tri 3 in 8 days

Yey Larly!

We've woken up to snow! Not a huge amount, but there was loads I wanted to do today and OH's at work. My car is rubbish in snow!

Yay for double figures larly! I was having a lovely lie in this morning after struggling to sleep for hours last night and my mum rang me and said oh I thought you'd be up. . Unplugging the house phone tonight and plugging back in when I get up tomorrow as im so tired but awake now. Mini tired rant of the morning over im starving! Have you ladies got much planned today? Xxx

Got family over and birthday celebrations today, I'm cooking a massive roast and a red velvet cake! :)

Today I went to my OHs work to play in the snow (he's working 30min down the motorway and we had absolutely nothing)

those that have toddlers - can they pull their own trousers/pants down to go toilet? Ollie will be 3 in March and he seriously struggles. Can definitely do it to go wee but not a chance to go poo.

My son is 3 almost 4 and has only in the last couple of months started to master pulling his own pants down. He tends to take them off completely when going for a poo buti found jogging bottoms helped as he struggled with buttons on jeans. Can I come for lunch buttonbear it sounds delicious. I had pancakes for breakfast for a nice treat! Xxx

Yes you can I always make a TONNE of food lol! leftovers for weeks haha

Its started snowing here now, massive big flakes eeep! I've missed snow now I have moved from Scotland.

Ditto on the joggers when first toileting, much easier for them, my son is 5 now and is fine with all things that way, wiping etc but at toddler age he lived in easy access clothes for him :)

Feeling a bit off today and not sure why

I've had a lovely day apart from that. Hubby took me shopping for baby clothes, then treated me to lunch out. Might need a nap now...

is anyone else feeling the need to sleep? Today and Thursday I fell asleep early afternoon. Just feel so lethargic, but feel horrible when I wake late afternoon

Henry lives in joggers. He can pull them down and up but doesn't get them all the way up properly. He will be 3 in March x

I swear if Henry makes it to the end of the day it'll be a miracle. He's been a little sod today. Shouting. Screaming. Temper tantrums. Running off. Even abandoned shopping because I couldn't cope with him in the shop. Just wanna cry.
