Sg1985 - I know exactly what you mean with the anterior placenta Hope your rescan goes well.

All - Can I ask, how long before your babies are due are you starting maternity leave?

I have to tell work when I'm planning to be off by the end of Jan. I want as much time as possible with baby once she is born, but also realise I will probably be shattered and need some time off before. I am a project manager so office based, but very short staffed (and will continue to be) so have been under a lot of pressure the last year and that will continue.
Any advice on leave this time or with previous babies would be great. Thanks

I am taking annual leave from 36 weeks, and starting mat leave at 38 weeks. I'll be going back to work on September 1st. Fortunately I have a job where i can take baby with me.

I'm self employed so a bit different so not actually getting any maternity leave just time off to give birth/recover and back etc. But its my own business and just baking so can take on and do as much or little as i like from home

Also our little squishes crib had arrived today, eeep!!

i am going on maternity 2 weeks before the baby is due. my boss said i can go part time closer to the time, but i won't do that, as will get no maternity pay, so want to maximise on the $$$$!

only planning to take 4 months (or so) off. will be hard, but needs must will have to look for a new job as well, as i am quitting here in April.

Hope scan goes/went well durham. Im due 22nd May team pink with twins. Had my 20 week scan today all is well with both babies. Baby b was in awkward position and wouldn't move for them so gotta have her spine double checked in 2 weeks time. She said all looked well but she liked to see the spine fully and baby b was lying on back rather than tummy. Im taking mat leave on 6th March at 28 weeks purely because I'm struggling anyways and have been signed off work and wont go to full term. Just waiting around for my consultant appointment now it's in just over an hour. I've been at hospital since 9am as had to get my sons arm re plastered again as had gone soft with only one week til it's off! Hope everyone's well xxx

Really struggling to walk. In pain when walking & going up & down stairs. Dr was useless. Left a message for mw so hoping she will help with something. Can't carry on like this for another 18 weeks

Larlybelle really hope they help you out with your pain soon. I'm only suffering during the night, so can only imagine how difficult it is suffering all day xx

I was struggling with pain in my left hip and bum cheek but it disappeared over the holidays so I thought it had magically cured itself. I've had two days at work and the pain is back, so I am beginning to think it's the chairs I sit in at work.

My Toys R Us parcel arrived today.

I ordered purple dummies, they've sent me blue ones.

I ordered a green formula powder container, they've sent me a pink one.

I ordered pram sheets, they've sent me Moses basket sheets. I assume they're the same size and just called something different on the website.

I am soooo disappointed. It shouldn't even be a big deal, but I was so looking forward to this parcel lol.

I think they're the same thing mayflower. It confused me with my first but im almost certain their the same size if nothing else. I'd be annoyed too though about the other things although trivial it's like ordering a red top from new look and them sending you a green one. It's not the one you wanted. I got my maternity clothes through today from newlook sale, finally have got a bit more choice of clothing to wear and trouser that fit snuggly! I feel shattered today. Can't wait to go to bed it's been a long day! Xxx

Evening everyone!

Scan was lovely, we're still team yellow although both of us suspect a lack of anything penis shaped could suggest a girl, we'll see!! Baby is healthy, measuring right for dates and stood on my bladder I've got my anti d booked, my GTT booked and an appointment with my consultant to book a Caesarian two days after my due date in case I don't go into labour I'm going to need a PA to keep up with all this!

I've updated the first page, please let me know if I've made any mistakes and keep the team colours coming xxx

Great news about your scan Durham. We have got ours on Friday but we are also staying team yellow. I am also rhesus negative so assume I will get booked in for anti d as well. First baby so not sure what to expect xx

Yes wishing, you usually have the anti d at around 28 weeks. *warning* it's in your bum! You might have another after giving birth depending on the blood type of your baby. My boy is a positive blood group so I had to have another jab

what an awful service from toys r us!! Glad to hear all scans are going well. I have mine next Wednesday, but still trying to decide whether to find out colour or stay yellow!!
