May 2014 Mummies

Had my first doctor's appointment today and was so nervous it took her 4 readings of my blood pressure to be happy with it! I could feel my heart thumping and I kept holding my breath, hopeless at relaxing at the doctors!
She said my due date is May 25th which was what I thought so I'm 6+2 today :)

I mentioned the period pain like cramps I've had and she didn't seem too bothered at first, let me go back to reception with the forms to hand in, then came running out of her room and called me back in! Was a bit worrying! She wanted to feel my tummy and pelvic region to make sure it wasn't ectopic. She said it felt ok and would be hard and hurty if it was, but I'm all worried and paranoid again now!

Anyway I have my midwife apt for 18th Oct. First of all doctor said they do them at 10 weeks, but then receptionist booked me in for that one when I'll be nearly 9 weeks. I wasn't going to say anything, the sooner the better!

Also told my team leader at work today as I felt someone at work should know, just incase, and she was really excited too!

Pleased it all went well for you. Not too long to wait for your midwife appointment :) x

Dans the same Lucy always asking if I'm ok is the baby ok lol Ermm I think so but I cannot see inside me wish I could lol he won't let me have anything I'm not allowed I'm sure he's been reading up on it tonight he said are u sposed to have Parmesan cheese erm yes I am lol he does my head in but he means well , my booking in is the 10th and my scan 6 days after that I'm excited but u can't stop thinking of what could happen déjà vue keeps popping in my head and terrifies me so scared but excited such strange emotions x

Hey hun, I bled with my ectopic, I have had and still now get cramps with this baby (and I did with my DS) even ones just on my side etc but baby is in the right place, I'm sure yours will be too, glad you had a good appointment even though you were nervous. Not long to wait till your booking at all x

Ooh Parmesan cheese....... I just need fooooooood!!!! ;)
I'm the same vic, so paranoid about the scan, we've booked an early one for sat 12th oct when I'll be 7w6d. Absolutely bricking it already, convinced there'll be bad news, but I have no reason to think that, it's just ridiculous! I'll be a blubbering mess if there's a baby with a heartbeat! X

Hope you are all well ladies! I'm very paranoid too, so tempted to get an early scan! I'm not being very rational as I have no particular reason to worry but can't seem to help it! If I feel too sick I worry, if I feel better I worry! crazy!

I have my booking in appointment a week on Friday, looking forward to it! Will just feel like a bit of a milestone just to see someone! Does anyone know roughly how long the appointment will be so I can tell work? I read something on internet that said an hour and a half but that sounds really long?? Xxx

Starting to get nervous about not having scan appointment yet. Midwife said it'd probably be some time from 9th oct to 22nd, but I'm sure when I was referred for a scan by my gp as part of the fertility gynae referral process that I'd had the appointment through sooner than this.

The letter I received about my booking in appointment said to allow 2 hours but they were running late and I was there for 3 hours  that included bloods a group talk, individual talks and booking my scan. That did seem very long compared to most people but I think they usually are about 1 1/2 hours. Btw my appointment was at the hospital which not all areas do. Good luck x

Mine was only 45 mins, with bloods, urine sample and filling in the bits of the green booklet I hadn't done myself. My midwife speaks really, really fast though!

Ahh Lucy we're considering early scan on 13th Oct, I'll be about 8+3. We're waiting til nearer the time to book it tho - I keep checking to see if there's appointments left! There's 9 at the moment - I'm determined to have one of them! X

Rachel, my booking appointment is 1hr but that's at doctor's surgery x

I'm p'ing with blood again :-( I've not done anything, we've not dtd or anything x

Might just be irritated cervix it's always a gd sign if ur bleeding and there is no pain to go with it still worrying tho I imagine , FC it's nothing sinister xx

Aww sproglett that little bean is really putting you through it isn't it? Are you going to contact mw/doc tomorrow? X

Yeah they'll probably get me to contact epu myself for another scan, epu isn't open till 1:30 by the looks of it today either :-( x

Ahhh Sproglett this little bean of yours is really keeping you on your toes. I think you can see the positive in that this is your fifth bleed and baby has been all good up until now. :)

Hope you get in at EPU to set your mind at rest xxxxx

Oh no Sproglett, I'm sorry to hear you're bleeding again   I hope they manage to get you in at the EPU today and everything is fine. Thinking if you xxxxx

Thanks ladies drs have told me to ring epu direct for a scan AGAIN. They'll be sick of the sight of me up there, the one woman said to me the other week (the last but 1 time I went) only go if I'm bleeding like a period etc, I told her my first loss I had only a tiny spec of blood and I went for a scan as advised and they couldn't find a heartbeat, but she made me feel like they think I'm just going for the sake of checking on baby and it's not that at all. :-( - my bleed last Thursday was very similar to this one so have my fingers well and truely crossed, at least last time there was a reason for it. Will let you know later if I manage to get in the epu x
