Maternity leave

Anyone already have a child/children and taking their maternity earlier this time round?
I'll be off from 30 weeks but first 2 weeks are annual leave, I worked right up with DD so feel I'm going off too early. But I want the extra time with DD before baby arrives, also she will be starting nursery too

Sounds perfect, I would just need to keep busy so time doesn't drag! I said I would work until just gone 38 weeks this time... Now regretting it but can't really change my mind and let people down! Already aching by the end of the day, but at least I guess time will go quick and I won't be counting down the minutes! X

I leave at 35 weeks but mat leave doesn't start till 39, if I had other children I would most definitely be leaving esrlier I think xxxx

I was originally planning to leave at 30 weeks so I could spend more time with ds as I went back to work when he was 3 months old and I hated it. As it was, I was signed off sick at 25 weeks so they started my mat leave at 27 weeks.

I was meant to to have left already on holiday. But the shop I work at is shutting down. So I start my holidays next Saturday at 34 and half weeks for 5 weeks and my mat leave starts on the Monday when I'm due the Wednesday xx

I'll be 33 weeks, because of the summer holidays, hoping this gives me some 4/5 weeks with my son before they force labour upon me! Really want a little family break with him if we can find something. X

My school break up for summer hols 3 weeks today!!! I'll be 32 wks - I can't wait, but have made sure my calendar is full with friend / family catch ups and stuff to keep me occupied towards due date xxx

Im leaving for maternity at 38 weeks but annual leave for the 2 weeks before that so 36 weeks for me xx

I worked right up to 39 weeks last time but will be finishing at 37 weeks this time so I have a few weeks with my little girl!!..cannot wait!!!!!

I'll be 28 weeks when I go on Mat leave - due to having twins they will be born by 36 weeks and I imagine by 28 weeks I'll need a crane to get me out of my house so will welcome the rest! It will be nice to spend some time with my 3 year old Son before the chaos of 2 newborns begins too xx

I did that. I left at 32 weeks, and had 7 weeks hols before my maternity started. We had a lovely time having days out, afternoon strolls, ice cream. When I am pg with baby no 3, I am planning on leaving around 35 weeks, and have a couple of weeks hol and mat leave start around 37/38 weeks. This could all change of course!!

Working upto 36 - 2 weeks holiday then may leave starts at 38

Sending my son to nursery for 2 days a week untill I drop to SMP in October where he will go 1 day a week which grandma pays for and also she has him on a Friday. Gives me time to have a few days with him plus prep meals/relax etc and when baby arrives it gives me a few days with her but also gives me time to get bits like washing done - gives him the socialising and fun he gets from nursery ( he loves it )

Anything to help with 2 under 2!

Snap! Last time I worked right up to when baby arrived ( I was in work on Monday & was in hospital being induced the next day lol!) this time I plan to leave work around 37 weeks to have few weeks with little one before new baby arrives.

I left at 37 weeks with my first and 34 weeks with my second. I was having an elective section at 39 weeks so didn't have the whole worry about going two weeks over etc. I'm glad I did to have the time with my eldest. I was also exhausted so needed the rest. As it turns out everything went a bit wrong, I was in the hospital at 37 weeks for a week before having my baby early at 38 weeks. So I'm glad I finished when I did!!
