Maternity Allowance

Hey, Just a query; I sent my forms of weeks ago and just called Wrexham who say they haven't recieved anything in my name!!

I sent them first class, I wasn't expecting to be getting the money yet, but I thought they would have had my details on record and they don't?

Any suggestions... I am waiting for a call back, but I am wondering if I need to re do the whole application, which is to be a pain as I got a certificate from work which went in the post with the application!!

Feeling a little worried about where the application has gone to be honest..

No idea unfortunately, but I'd be prepared to have to do them again and re-send if they can't find them. They're so useless, it's a good job you chased it up.

i waited 2 weeks to hear back from them then ive sent off what they needed and waiting on another reply been about a week now. x

I was lucky as i had a response within a week. I've had bad experiences in the past with stuff lile this so i made sure i sent it recorded delivery. I'd be prepared to fill them in again although it will be a pain in the arse getting a new matb1 and payslips and stuff. It might cost a few quid but i'd send it recorded delivery if theyve lost it cus at least you get a receipt and stuff.

Hey, i don't think it takes long, but mine has been with them for at least three weeks; they have made contact and are returning the form, I missed something out apparantly.. I wonder why nothing is ever straight forwards... xx

Maybe because of the bank holiday it is taking a little longer than normal hun, lets hope they receive it soon I sent mine off last thursday by recorded delivery just in case. Hoping it is all straight forward, and it'll be fine, but i am a little bit worried as i have 2 employers and need to go on mat leave at 2 different times, but i'm sure it'll all work itself out xx

im not entitled to smp so am applying for maternity allowence. xxx

It's prob with Easter and all the bank hols thats been holding things up. I had to apply for maternity allowance as i wasn't entitled to get smp. You either get the standard amount of about £128 or 90% of your wages, whichever is the lowest amount. Hope it all sorts itself out x

ive just recieved and filled in my forms. only problems i have is i am claiming housing benefit so need my wage slips for that aswell. do they send them back? xx

They sent me all my wage slips with the letter saying that I am entitled to MA

im getting ma as im self employed but im only getting 67 pound
