Okay, so now I am over the disappointment and guilt thing of not being successful at breastfeeding and my milk drying up, I need to think practically!!
We have been using the odd carton of ready made formula but they are hideously expensive so I have bought a tub of powder formula today. The only thing is it would appear you need to know in advance the exact time your LO might want to eat in order to boil a kettle, let it cool for half an hour, add the powder, then let it cool further!!! Can't see this happening at 4am in the morning!!
Obviously don't want to put LO's health at risk in any way, but does everyone do it like this? For instance, I know LO will want a feed in roughly 2 hours time, so if I prep it now can I just leave it made up at room temp on the side? Or do I need to make it and put it in the fridge? But then it says it can't be reheated!!!
How do other people do it?? And does the age of your LO affect what you do?? Evie is only a couple of weeks old, but she is quite happy to take room temp (or even colder!) milk. She really doesn't care as long as it's going down the hatch!!!
