I'm 28 weeks today
I've been feeling a bit achey generally to touch today and at my midwife appt earlier she gave me a good feel and it was uncomfortably sore...

Anyway... Fast forward to tonight
I'm quite constipated. Havent gone in a few days (Saturday night I think?)
I thought I'd come up and try to go
I peed first. For the proceeding 20+ minutes I've sat trying to go. However every single time I squeeze to push anything out - I'm getting a small gush come out
At first I thought it was me just peeing but I've squeezed trying to go upwards of 30 times and I'm 'peeing' with every single squeeze

Obviously I hope that its just pee... But could i be peeing that many times consecutively without fail on what should already be an empty bladder?? Or could it be waters?
If so... I know they can replenish... But if im leaking... Is that something to be concerned by??

Have you any sanitary pads? If so pop one on. And leave it. Give it a sniff. And see how 'wet' it is. Amniotic waters smell.
I'd even call your maternity unit and see what they say.

I'm due round about the same time as you, and I know I'm very 'wet' as such down there. I remember with my daughter I called them about this stage because I thought I was leaking waters. The sanitary towel advice was what I was told and ring back in an hour.
There's no harm in giving them a phone and putting your mind at rest.

Gail, I remember some other ladies were saying to lie down for an hour and then get up and see if you are leaking straight away x Ps I think you can pee that often, i do x

It doesnt freely leak
Just anytime i was squeezing
But it was a mini gush every single time i done it
Had i not already done a big pee id assume it was that
But over 30times i pushed and every time some sprayed out under pressure!

I'll try a pad
No idea what im sniffing for though lol

Call your midwife tomorrow, maybe she had ladies in the same situation before? X

Yeah will see how i get on
If i feel any running when i get up later I'll phone them
If it is waters hopefully the sac will just seal itself x

It won't smell like pee, it will smell kind of sweet perhaps you could say. Maybe even like you've had sex smell?
The thing is with waters they trickle and run. You can really control them coming out.

I find I can always squeeze out a pee now. I'm really curious as to how this girls lying because I don't think it's how she should be.

Definitely do all of what the girls say ^^, you can never be too careful. Last week I had gush-like waters in my knickers, so bad I thought I'd wet myself. Got it checked out on Friday and she did a simple test, all came back clear. Definitely worth the peace of mind :) x

My friend leaked water at 26weeks & she thought it was her waters turns out it was just discharge - apparently it can come out like water.. like squirting basically.

xx

Seems to have stoppedn

Nothing ran after lying a while
I think we are good
Must've just been loads of wee!!

I get loads of discharge when I try to push a poop out. I panic every time lol. The lying down is the best advice I've had. Any time I'm worried about fluids, I lay down for half hour. If it was waters, it'd pool and the gush out as you stood. Settles me every time :)

I've had the exact same thing you describe. I'm pretty certain it's pee - it's actually really hard to empty your bladder completely when pregnant - there always seems to be a bit more when you squeeze! Also I was told if you Squeeze in (like doing a kegal exercise) and can stop the gush then it's almost definitely pee - you wouldn't be able to stop a gush of waters. Don't do it too often though as pee is most definitely better out than in to prevent UTI's.
Xxx
