Hi ladies Im so worried I just ate some pre packaged profiteroles and I'm so scared! I've just realised that they have alcohol in them! Should I be worried about my baby? Are profiteroles ok aswell?

Was this before or after the pastry flan and deli cheese you ate and panicked about?

Hehe, sounds like someone else that worries as much as me (my first). Have you checked out the NHS pregnancy guides (google)? Why not have a read over to reassure yourself what is OK/not OK to eat before you worry yourself more?

As for any previous/potential mistakes, keep in mind that everyone makes them, and some people don't know they are pregnant for a very long time. If you have particular concerns, maybe you can present them to your midwife and see what they recommend.

Yes I know sorry :-( I just feel like I'm so bad at this this is my first pregnancy. Do you think it'll be ok? I have to wait until 16 weeks to see my midwife :-(

It will be fine- don't worry!! The guidelines say avoid alcoho but not that it is dangerous to have at all! When I was pg with my eldest I had a glass on wine every week (ooh!!) until the heartburn made it impossible to enjoy! And he's turned out fine! X

Im sure youll be fine duke 27.

Xxxx

Thank you ladies uou have all really helped :-) I'm guessing profiteroles wouldn't have that much in it? Should I be worried about the pastry too? As it was uncooked. I'm so bad at this :-(

I had 4 vodkas the night before i found out i was pregnant after days of bfns, so im sure a small percentage in food will be ok.

Xxx

Before i found out last week i was pregnant - i had taken A/B ( when the doctor asked if there was any chance i could be pregnant i said no!!) inbetween that day/night nurse! then the monday before i had a tooth extraction and had numbing injections in my mouth plus was in so much pain went and bought over the counter co codamol!!!!! just to top it all off red wine in the evening!!!!!! checked all this with the g.p when i discovered i was pregnant and she said its ok! not to worry....... you will be fine its natural to worry when its your first.

Don't worry- I accidentally ate 3 cherry liqueurs in week 5 and my baby's fine :-) My friend reassured me by reminding me that loads of people are pregnant without knowing for weeks, so end up eating/ drinking all the wrong things at first!

This made me smile :) .... First pregnancies are confusing ... Profiterole pastry is fine and the cream ... The liqeur would have minimal affect , not like drinking a bottle of wine!

I went out on a huge night out before I " knew" then felt guilty x

Thanks ladies I also had a pastry flan with pizza toppings but then realised the pastry was raw in the middle afterwards. Will that be ok?

When I was pregnant the first time I had all kinds of things, runny eggs, cream cheese, I even had patrons a wine spritz at the Xmas. The baby will be fine

Hell, at 30 weeks I fell face forward down a flight of stone steps and all was good. Babies are strong things

The amount of things you're not supposed to eat is ridiculous. Relax a little.

I didn't know I was pregnant until I was already 8 weeks along and was on holiday in Portugal the week before having at least 10 cocktails and 4 shots of sambucca whilst I was there! I felt like such a bad person when I found out I was pregnant and cried to my midwife about it who just laughed at me! I'm now almost 18 weeks and baby is doing well so I very much doubt a few profiteroles will do any harm :) x

I'm sure you'll be fine I was away for bank holiday and had quite a bit to drink...found out Wednesday I was pregnant. We all make mistakes(this is my first too!) As stated NHS give guidelines...my DR said I'd be fine to have half a glass of wine for special occasions!! My reply...not a chance!

I still eat runny eggs and had a medium rare steak the other day which is apparently not allowed. Chill. Take a look at the guidelines. Try to relax and just enjoy the ride :)

Profiteroles have alcohol in them??

Itll be negligible if any. Itll have been alcohol but probably the actual alcohol content will have been driven off. A bit like red wine in a stew. Just adds flavour x
