I have just had surgery at 5 +5 for an ectopic pregnancy causing a ruptured tube and 3L of internal bleeding.

I am now waiting to TTC again until I am both physically and emotionally ready.

I am so scared that this will happen again and they won't know until it's too late then I will be infertile :( My left tube is damaged and now unusable. If this happens again and my right tube is damaged I won't be able to have children naturally.

I'm so scared. Is anybody else going through this?

I'm sorry for you loss hun. It's not easy and the worry wont go away however I have been reading tons of statistcs about miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies and you may be reassured to find out hat there is only a 2-10% chance of it happening again and despite what you will find on forums as most people who have difficulty will be leaving posts when people who find it easy probably won't even consider coming on a site like this... the chances of 2 back to back miscarriages is as low as 1%.

My point is don't lose hope and although it won't stop the worrying I hope you an find some solace in the fact you would be extremely unlucky for it to happen again. Unless you have an underlying problem.

Due to your previous history they will probably give you an early scan next time to hopefully solve the problem before it leaves you infertile.

Fx all goes well for you hun

My sister had an ectopic, she had to have her tube removed. (2pregnancys ago) I believe she was scanned early with her last pregnancy to make sure it was growing in the right place.

Other than that I have no other help.
She fell naturally (actually on the pill) with her last with only one tube.
