Oh Spriddy. I am so, so sorry. I wish I could give you some advice but I don't really know what that means myself. Have you had an opportunity to discuss it with the doctor/midwife? There may also be some ladies on the main forum who can offer some advice so it may be worth starting a thread on?

Oh no spriddy! I think you have to have more screening as I think it means a 1 in 5 chance, so you can have more testing but I think it’s a bit more invasive but the midwife or dr should be able to explain that.

Yes it would be cvs sampling which doesnt worry me as had amnio in my last pregnancy. I keep thinking about what the midwife said that it's still 80% chance it's not downs and also think how many awful conditions are out that that you don't find out about till after birth as not screened for.

I had my dating scan today and decided to go for the DS testing but the wee babe kept jumping about so they couldn't get the pics they needed. Will try again at 16 weeks.

Hello everyone, It is reassuring to see and read your posts that I am not going totally mad and that like you I am feeling nervous and worried. I have had a very emotional day today.

We are getting our echo on the 12th and I can't wait to see baby do it's wiggle dance like last time. We have already had two scans as sadly I tore my placenta and also last time we got pregnant it was ectopic so they have been keeping a close eye on me. But I threat like mad as soon as I get twings and twangs.

Today a women ran out onto the road in front of me from behind a parked van because a lady driving the other way flashed her, luckily I was going slow and reacted quickly by breaking hard. I just thought shit the baby being jolted violently and it's made me worse. Luckily though no one was hurt and the women was clearly very sorry and felt a bit silly.

Ok so we're telling his family today, he has 2 girls of his own (10+16!) And then telling the world. I am freaking out because it's all so real now!!!

Morning ladies. Had our 12 week scan this morning - measuring dead on 12 and due date is 22nd June! Feeling so relieved!
