**** July 2014 Mummies ****

Good luck Clare, we're all sending you hugs and positivity x x x

Mishi what is obstetric cholestasis, sounds like storing fat of some kind is it?

Sarah feel your pain and all the other ladies not sleeping well...try to put a pillow between my legs then get too hot and get rid then get sore hips!

So many things have made me angry today...proper preggers rage!

Obstetric cholestasis is a potentially serious liver disorder that can develop in pregnancy. Normally, bile salts flow from your liver to your gut to help you digest food. In obstetric cholestasis, the bile salts don’t flow properly and build up in your body instead (this shows up in your blood results and your liver results will be abnormal) There’s no cure for other than delivery.

Don't know if this is what Clare has, it's just one of the many liver related things that can happen in pregnancy, but it's the most common one.

xxxx

Hey everyone, just wanted to update you, I am home and baby is fine thank god, but will be going back to hospital in a few days (waiting on calls and tests), basically my liver is failing, if it gets any worse when they do repeat bloods over the next few days/a week because of Easter I will be admitted and they will start preparing baby for early delivery, ie steroids. Feeling very emotional, :( thank you for all your thoughts, I appreciate it xxx

I'm not surprised your feeling emotional hon, how worrying for you.

Massive hugs, and positive thoughts coming your way.

Aww Hun, you must be scared! I'd say tri not to worry but I know how scary it is, knowing your baby might have to come early and that is without having to worry about my liver too. Try and get lots of rest Hun and put your feet up as much as you can. Thinking of you xxxx

Oh clare so sorry you've had this frightening news. At least you're being looked after. Hope your bloods are better later in the week and you can avoid a higher bilirubin count if that's what's happened xx

Clare I am so sorry you are going through this I'm keeping everything crossed that your bloods improve over the next few days until your next tests. Take care my lovely, keep us informed about how you are doing! Xx

Sarah am glad your bath helped and you managed to pass out for a bit earlier. Hope you have a better night tonight x

Oh Clare my fingers are very crossed for you and bubba! Hopefully the next results will bring better news. Big big hugs. I'll be thinking of you xx

Big hugs Clare! Hopefully your liver will start behaving itself! Xx

Clare - glad you're home but can't begin to imagine how worrying this is for you. Were you feeling ok before?? I have everything crossed for you and baby. As worrying as it is it's better to know than not know. Sending you lots of luck and good wishes xxx

Lauren - Happy 26 weeks, mine was yesterday! xx

Coz - I hadn't even thought about the fact I'm in tri 3 next week! Eek scary! Luckily my friend hadn't blocked me but FB does cause many problems I agree! xx

Sarah - I finally managed to get hold of my friend just said I was worried about her as hadn't been able to get hold of her on FB (which is the usual way we communicate) and she confirmed that she's deleted her account. Still no reason why she left so hastily after my DD's 'accident' yesterday but at least I haven't upset her. Hope you manage to sleep better tonight. xx

My day wasn't too bad in the end. Had a nice lunch with my friend and her kids, they played in the pub playground area while we chatted, it was nice for phoebe to be able to run around without me chasing after her. Still awkward conversation but a nice day.

Then took Phoebe for her jabs and after the first one in one arm it broke my heart to have to 'hug' her whilst the other was done. I really had to work hard to hold it together especially when she wouldn't let me hold her after because she thought the nurse was going to do it again. We went out to pitying looks from all as she wailed her way out of the surgery. Anyway arrived home to a package on the doorstep for her from my father. A scooter!! So I spent half an hour building it for her then to play on her baby scooter! Got to love kids! :) Anyway, still feeling up and down emotionally but guess that's part of the ride. Hope everyone sleeps well tonight xxx

Am glad your day wasn't too bad in the end phoebes mum. Hope phoebe enjoyed her scooter, and what excellent timing :)

Glad you sorted things with your friend, hopefully it won't feel so strained next time you see her. And poor phoebe with he jabs. She's had a tough week what with falling over as well. Your emotions will feel all over the place with these 2 situations going on and you being the one to make things better. Even super woman must of needed an emotional break at some point.

Glad you got to the bottom of things phoebes mum! Wonder if the reason she left so abruptly is related to her Facebook deletion? She may have seen something or done something that sent her and OH arguing?

Aww bless poor phoebe! Must be heart breaking because we know they have to have them and they are good for them but they don't bless em xxx

Thanks Fospetil. My turn to be posting at an unearthly hour. DD woke me up an hour ago. She's been tucked safely back in bed for 50 mins and I'm left with terrible indigestion. Even the gaviscon hasn't touched it. Took gaviscon at bed time to get rid of acid reflux and that worked for a bit. Indigestion much worse. Can't lie down. Hope everyone else is peacefully asleep xxx

Aww, bet anxiety of this last week isn't helping with the reflux love! Hope you managed to nod back off! I'm wide awake because of just finishing nights and OH snoring! What's hilarious is that once I'm awake, he stops snoring! But if I try to nod back off, he would snore his head off! Bugger he is! X

Not a chance, dh came to bed an hour ago and woke me up in the process. He tried rubbing my back to help me drift off again but he fell asleep before I did. Now I can't get comfy. He's on leave from work so it doesn't matter if he's up late but I've got work tomorrow straight after my midwife appointment.

Aw ladies. Hope you've both managed to go back to sleep. I'm still awake with indigestion. Won't go away. Do you think I can mix Renee and gaviscon? Xx

Never went back to sleep in the end. Well the inevitable has happened. I knew as soon as the mower came out the spiders would come in and there's a big black one sat in our bath. I DON'T DO SPIDERS!!! Would of woken dh up but as he's only been asleep about 3 hours thought better if it. God help me when he goes away in a few weeks.

Phoebes mum - glad she liked the scooter. I remember with my daughter, she spotted the needle before it was done and had to hold her tight to me while they did both arms! It's horrible! X

Coz - Good luck with your appointment! I hate spiders too!

Soooo my super husband just got even more superer! After a day of agony yesterday due to lack of sleep at my parents, Liam drove all the way down to Bournemouth after he had finished work (took him 2.5hrs as was rush hour) to come pick me up so I could be in my own bed last night! He drove down, ate dinner and then we got back in the car straight away and came home.
We got in at 10.30pm and were snuggling in bed when Pip started kicking away. Liam kept poking at it until it kicked him back. He was so happy because recently pips been playing the 'as soon as someone puts their hands where I move, I have to stop moving' game haha
We were both asleep by 11 and I actually let him sleep in our bed rather than spare room just because I was so insanely grateful of his awesomeness. Regretted it slightly when he started snoring at 3am but after a few swift kicks to the hip, he soon rolled over lol

Anyway, that's everyone caught up on me haha

Have you tried milk? It works on my heartburn.

Milk can actually make heartburn worse. It was an old wives tale remedy that people stuck to for years but it's actually supposed to be avoided lol
I suffered with it for years and the doc gave me Omeprazole for it. It's why I haven't had it at all (so far) in pregnancy either. I'm not supposed to come off the Omeprazole (it's completely safe in pregnancy) so hopefully it'll keep it at bay. My best friend was prescribed it during pregnancy as she had awful heartburn for months.

Phoebes_mum, hope things with your friend are less awkward next time you see her. Seems strange it would even be awkward at all mind. Women are a funny bunch... X

Clare hun, you must be feeling so fragile at the moment. I hope you're handling everything okay and your doctors are being supportive. X

Hope everyone has a good day today and gets to enjoy the sunshine. I'm stuck indoors recovering from 24 hours at my mums lol ache all over still but definitely glad to be back home!
