**** July 2014 Mummies ****

I've spent the whole day on a 'make your first quilt' course (love crafty stuff) and my mum came with me. So I have made a lovely flower fairies quilt for DD and mum has made a gender neutral winnie the pooh quilt for this little bud! Just got to finish hand sewing the edging but very pleased with my efforts!!

Awww Phoebes_mum, I LLLOVE this stuff!! Would absolutely love to see pics when ready if you don't mind :)

I've been feeling a bit crafty lately too and just started doing some cross-stitching on custom bibs, hooded baby towel and some to be framed for the baby's room (kiddy designs e.g. giraffe, elephant, boat in sea, sand with starfish, rocket, car - chose cute cross-stitch designs from a magazine and just started really!!) I am currently doing a blue car pattern on a white bib and feel so excited, like a little kid!! :dust:

Great place, never been there before, is called 'Owl and Sewing Cat' - have a look on Facebook!

I will definitely post a pic if no one minds. Was really inspired whilst I was there and have now decided on an 'owl' theme for a nursery (not that I know where that will be yet as we need to move house). Would love to see some of your cross stitching too. Maybe we should have a DIY craft thread!! :) :pompom:

Sounds lovely! Looking forward to seeing the pic :-) xx

""":hugs: Daley my lovely. Hope you start to feel more positive soon. I'm convinced that you, me and Sozzy started together, from egg catching, and we'll be exchanging baby pics in July! Moving is so stressful but try and think of the end result."""

Andie -

It's been lovely having you ladies as my bump buddies.. And I look forward to exchanging baby pics and labour story :-)

Hope you are both feeling a little better tonight xx

This is a fantastic idea re. a DIY craft thread Phoebes_mum!! Keep up the good work and when ready, please just post pic(s) on new thread for all crafty mummies to check out - I know I will definitely follow and contribute with my bits and bobs :petal: xx

Grrrr hubby woke me up as he couldn't sleep and fancied a 'snuggle', now I'm lying here awake back and hips aching and he's snoring next to me! Typical!

Loving the crafts girls, can't wait to see the finished items. I do a lot of baking but would love to try something new!

Sozzy- love the cupcake baby suit! I think it'll definitely be a boy though so keep your eyes open girls!

Ahh Daley! Sounds like something my hubby would do.. Along with the snoring too! A find a quick jab in the ribs works for all of 5 minutes lol.

Hope you managed to get some sleep xx

Thanks Sozzy.

Arrhhh. Snoring! It's just not what we need is it. At least you can use the guilt factor to your advantage today. He he. X

I'm not very crafty but fancy trying something so a thread would be good. Would love to see everyone's efforts for some inspiration! X

Happy Sunday everyone!! I just got on the scales - eeeek. I have put on 9 pounds so far 17 weeks in. This is a little too much isn't it?? I did used to exercise and eat fairly healthily - at the moment I tend to spend more time on the sofa and am eating a lot of carbs and more recently my chocolate and biscuit intake has increased to new heights!! Should I be cutting back? x

Hi ladies, hope everyone is good :) I love the craft ideas :) keep em coming...

We decided on James as a middle name as OH dad is James and jack is such a nice boys name... We were struggling with girl names because most of our friends have had girls and didn't want to steal then OH suggested Carly and I really like Jade so put them together so we will have a JJ & CJ

I'm doing a roast for dinner, what's everyone else doing today?? Xxx

Happy Sunday to you too Anna and all other wonderful mummies!! :petal:

The exact same thing has been bothering me too Anna. I have gained about 10 pounds and I am only just about to complete 16 weeks :'(

Like you I used to exercise and eat healthily and actually for several months before my pregnancy I was even following a low-carb lifestyle alongside exercising and had shed a few pounds. I am fed up with my ongoing food aversions too, all I can eat still is bread, cheese and pasta based dishes. I'm concerned that this complete turn of mine to only-carb(!) eating has been piling the pounds on me...

Is our gain too much??

I love the names Sammi, how supercute you're having twins and one of each!! I especially like your chosen names because they seem (in BOTH their full AND shortened versions) to match/sound extremely well together!! Like they are meant to be! :boy::girl:

Off to go get a pair of miniature jeans that a friend had ordered for my boy and got notified it got delivered at our local Mothercare :)
No special dinner for me tonight, hubby is abroad for the week and I don't find cooking to be worthwhile when he is gone  Ohh I am such a cry baby!!!

Plus my aversions and blah appetite are always leading me to bread&cheese sandwiches or toasties (how exciting!! but it seems to be the only thing I can stomach at the moment!!) xx

We picked James for the same reason. My fil in James and hubby's middle name is James.
I quite like Kieran James and Adam James too but oh doesn't.
He likes kal James (seriously) and Alexander James which I'm not fussed on x

We would of had James as a middle name.. My hubby's and his dads middle name too :-)

Hi ladies.. Not caught up on the previous messages as I'm in a rush but will do later tonight.
I was previously team yellow but had secretly booked a gender scan for today because I was dying to know!!
So glad I did because we're:..
TEAM PINK!!!

I cried when she told me (embarrassing but I was just so overwhelmed)..
Names all set, bought my first little outfit & told my nearest and dearest..
Xxx

Congratulations on team pink Hun! No mistaking that! So happy for you! X

Ha jack James is on my very small list of boys names too! We've decided on James as a middle name but can't decide on a first yet.

I want my gender confirmed now....getting jealous (she says when cupcake definitely had bits). I have to wait until the 19th :( xxx

James is a lovely name! Will look out for your confirmation at the 19th :) xx
