**** July 2014 Mummies ****

Wondering if anybody else is suffering with low blood pressure.. I had it at my booking appt, then it went to within normal range at 12 week scan, now it's back to 80/50.. I'm getting crippling headaches & dizzy when I move..
Midwife told me to drink more & avoid crowded places.. Anybody else? Xx

Anybody else worked out money for mat leave etc just done ours and now feeling depressed all i want is to be a stay at home mum for a little while why does money rule our lifes grrrr!!! Sorry had to moan

Hi hun it's depressing isn't it. I'll be 700 a month down when I go on mat leave as my work don't contribute I'll just get government smp and child benefit so minus tax n nat ins it's about 500 a month. My half of mortgage, bills etc is 650pm so Im screwed already n that's before things like phone, contact lenses, diesel n any baby stuff. Hubby won't suddenly start earning any more so he can't chip in for me either! Trying not to think about it as honestly dunno how we can resolve it!! Even when I go back part time I'll only be on 600pm which is half of now n still won't cover my half of mortgage house bills etc! God know where I'll get cash from for car mot n tax ins etc! Hubby doesn't drive so he doesn't have this on his budget!! aaaagh xx

Very!! Its like they expect money to start coming in from elsewhere what really pisses me off is that we cant even get any help yet if we was both bums and sat on our arses we would get everything paid for!! Xx

I agree. Pisses me off massively that you both work have a mortgage but if u sit on ur bum u get rent paid, council tax paid, free vouchers for fruit whilst pregnant, sure start grant, don't have to worry about childcare costs as u don't work! I know I'd rather have a job mortgage n not be a bum but it just seems so unfair xx

It is ridiculously unfair! More needs to be done to support those who want to work for their money when they have babies and then maybe the bums will have more incentive to get up and get a job!

Thinking about the money is depressing. I started to try and work it out and gave up. luckily I have been in my job 6 years so I will get enhanced but I can only afford to take 6 months. After that we wouldn't be able to afford our mortgage let alone any bills, food, nappies, etc. if I don't go back. We are trying to save but need a new car as a 3 dr fiesta isn't practical any more!!!

I'm self employed so will only get maternity allowance it's gonna be such a kick in teeth when there's another mouth to feed

I have a 3 door mini & had an even smaller car before that..
Find it easier putting little one in as I get in with him.. Harder to do it in my parents 5 door from the side..xx

I have a mini too! I thought id have to change it?
They have no boot space do they? Lol x

I have a Quinny buzz which just about fits in the boot with strategic placement..
Depends on the size of the pram you buy as to whether or not you'll need a bigger car..I had a Citroen c2 before that so used to tiny boot space ha xx

I'm in the MINI gang. In fact my family are slight MINI freaks! I've had 2 3 door minis and then when we had phoebe I upgraded to a Mini Countryman. Hubby has a MINI and we met through a MINI forum. Brother has had countless no of Minis, Mum has a Mini, even my granddad has a Mini. So we really are fans!

I'm not talking money tonight as I've had the day from hell all about money that school are refusing to pay me. I'm so stressed!

Wish I had a car but I don't drive yet, so it's peasant wagon all the way for me!

Have taken today off work as I'm still feeling awful! Felt some more movements last night, I think the baby has changed position x

K8tblue- I'm the same, self employed, and with mortgage bills etc, is going to be so hard :( it's one of the few times I've said I wish I had a steady 'normal' job so at least I had boundaries of when I was finishing, when I was going back etc- but as it stands I have no idea what will happen x

Jealous of all the mini owners its a car ive always wanted! Ive also got a 3 door fiesta x

The countryman is next on my list I think, but not until next year at least. I've got the Baker Street edition & quite like the countryman B.St.
Def a family of mini lovers ha!!
I got one after my mum did.. Fell in love when I test drove them with her..

Daley- hope you feel better soon!

Sat next to my tropical fish tank watching one of the smallest fish.. Doesn't look good..Have to wait til OH comes home if it lasts until then :( xx

I know its completely rubbish, I love my job but considering selling my business for the extra funds but don't think I can face starting up all over again!! Hey ho it'll all work out in the end. For the meantime we are completely in limbo though aren't we?!

I have a Nissan Juke that I adore but the boot is so ridiculously unpractical.... Not tried to fit the buggy in yet but I know it doesn't fit my wheelchair lol so we will see!! X

I have my beautiful V5 golf which I will have to sell as its expensive to run being a 2.3 litre petrol. It's so sporty and pretty but you can feel every bump in the road and leather seats and a baby do not seem practical. I'm sad though as she will probably be sold to some boy racer who won't love her like I do.......ok I'm obviously hormonal!!

We have the boring family car already lol.. Got rid of my sporty car long a go..2 children & 2 dogs so needed a bigger car for holidays etc. would love a mini :-) x

I wouldn't say leather and babies is impractical k8tblue! I have leather seats in my car I bought especially with babies in mind (honda civic exec 02 model) the leather is wipe clean! Good for sticky fingers and spillages! This of all those stickies and spills on material! Never getting that out! Lol. Xx
