Honestly Sozzy, I've started a thread in the Pregnancy section of the forums because I think every pregnant woman should know about it. It's so wrong that it's not done as standard! X

Yes it goes in your notes and apparently quite a few hospitals try do it as policy now.
I'm going to request that baby stays attached until placenta stops pulsing or until I deliver the placenta naturally, whatever comes first.

Haha really? It was common practice until 1913 where they stopped it without researching in to how damaging it was for the baby. No other mammal in the world cuts their baby off the umbilical cord as quickly as we do, they instinctively know to leave it.

Changing the subject for a moment, I have been up since 5am! Didn't get to sleep until 3 because felt so ill! Wtf why does my body not like me sleeping? Seems once I'm up to go for a wee then that's it for the morning, wide awake! Anyone else having trouble sleeping a decent amount at night?

I didn't really have this option first time round as madam had pooped in her waters to they had to clamp and cut quickly to suction the poop out of her nose and throat. But I definitely plan to leave it this time.

And I am with you Sarah! One I wee in the night it takes me hours to fall back to sleep. Sometimes I get so hungry I have to go snack or I'll feel nauseous. Never had these nighttime problems last time, maybe I'm having a boy! Lol. Xx

I've been sick for so long everyone thinks I'm having a girl. I don't want to allow myself to be swayed in to believing more one way or the other... Although a girl would be lovely lol

I am sooo annoyed with the sleep thing, it's so frustrating. Especially as when I do sleep the quality of sleep is rubbish and shallow and my dreams all weird and I dream of stuff that's happened already in the day (boring shit like watching big brother haha) and have to relive them all night in painful detail. Gah! It's soooo dull and I wake up feeling so frustrated and exasperated!

I don't even fancy him (my subconscious tells me otherwise haha)...now that was not a boring dream thankfully
