** January Mummies **

Squeezing into Jan 2020 mummies as tested this morning at 11dpo and got a BFP. On tender hooks until past AF is due but hoping this little one sticks! Due date calculator says the 30th Jan.

I'm 30th Jan too, this is my first pregnancy so not sure what to expect, just waiting for the midwife to call and book an appointment! Exciting times! Congrats to you :D:bump:

Hi, I'm due 30th Jan, I'm 4 weeks and 4 days so I haven't had a dating scan yet. I'm in the UK, I've called the docs and they said a midwife will call me when I'm closer to 10 weeks. Is this normal? I can't help thinking she will forget to call me
Hey. I’m due the 30th too. Yes it is pretty normal. That’s what they said to me last time. I’m calling up on Tuesday to let them know about me and I think they will say the same. It depends where you live. The different trusts have different guidelines x

Ah amazing! There seems to be a few of us due on the 30th here! :D Thank you for the reassurance. It's my first pregnancy so I'm new to it all. I can't wait for my first appointment so it seems more real. :cheer:

Oooh getting busy in here now.

Welcome to all the new ladies. Looks like 30th of January is a favourite Haha

How is everyone feeling today anyway? Doing anything nice on bank holiday?

Welcome @NicoMaria! Congrats on your bfp!

Sadly Bobby23 has had a chemical, so it's only you and Lollypop79 due on the 30th.

Is this your first baby?x

@vampysgirl We don't have a bank holiday in Belgium today. The OH and I both have jobs which don't ever follow any holidays or weekends. I never really know what day it is!
But due to the radiation of the sun, I have been removed from my work until 5 months after the birth, so I can't complain!

What are you going to do today?x

I keep forgetting you're in Belgium. So sorry :x

At the moment I'm on the sofa, waiting for the sickness to leave so I can do some housework. Very rock n roll live here Haha

That's okay @vampysgirl! Most of the ladies here are from the UK here because it was originally a UK website. I saw you signed up in 2014 so you probably still remember. Hope your sickness eases soon! It's lovely outside! The summer is slowly approaching! I'm actually happy we will be giving birth during the winter, that means the hospitals won't be so hot and stuffy, I won't have to take cold baths just to cool off. The only downside is having to buy more "wintery" maternity clothes!x

That's exciting @NicoMaria! Will you be having an early scan?x

@Kitana that is one thing I'm looking forward too. It's the first time I fell pregnant this time of year. All the other times, the due dates were in summer  and I hated it being pregnant then. It will be so much easier this time.

Yeah i was here in 2014 when I had my DS that October. Made lots of lovely friends, who I'm still in contact with now.
Came back a few times but sadly pregnancy never carried on. Rather hopeful with this one, as funnily enough I have no bad thoughts at all.
To date I only feel sick and haven't actually thrown up yet. Fx it stays that way as it's way easier to handle then having to run to the loo every 5 minutes

Hi, no I think I will have a scan around 12 weeks. I'm just waiting for my midwife appointment, then I guess they book it from there? Does the first 12 weeks always drag? It's so exciting! :p

I have also had some bad luck with 2 chemicals and a mmc in January, but like you, I feel positive about this one too! Fx it doesn't get worse than this!x

They are endless! If you thought the 2 week wait was long, oh boy, the next 8 weeks will drag on and on and on.

It feels like the longest wait you'll ever have to endure. The 2ww is like a walk in the park compared to that :rotfl:

Hey everyone! Congratulations everyone on there BFPs! Hope yous are all well I'll be 9 weeks on Thursday and got my 12 week scan letter through it's on the 21st I cannot wait!!xx

Just spoke the midwife service, they never got my referral through. But she's ringing me back shortly with an appointment for my reassurance scan.
It's strange but now it seems to feel real. Let's hope that little squishy is in there and all is looking good

Hopefully they can get you in quick. I’ve spoke to midwife today. They will arrange booking in appointment for between 8-11 weeks. Does seem real now. Plus I have sore boobs and was retching this morning. I was so happy haha. X

Scan tomorrow at 12
Wow, that's a lot faster then I thought. Once scan is done, midwife will ring for booking in appointment. Now, I'm feeling nervous.... it's going to be a long 24 hours hahaha

So exciting!! At least your patience paid off! You only have to wait 24 hours instead of the weeks we have to wait!

That's very true. Midwife rang once more and booked me in to see her on Monday for my booking in appointment too.
I'm guessing it's all starting now.
So let's get the scan done, make sure there is a healthy little heartbeat and the next 32+ weeks will go easy haha
