:) January 2018 Mummy's thread

Also just sneezed and peed a little so that's a great new symptom ugh :booboo:

Anyone else get weirdly depressesed about the pregnancy at random times? Then get more depressed about feeling less than super excited some days? :wall:

I am on emotional irrational rollercoaster at the moment I must admit. Some days I'm fine, others I am totally irrational, but it's just the hormones I hope.

Mystery some days I'm just down right terrified, thinking what am I doing!!!! our two year old is a handful, and I just can't imagine how I'll cope. My friend says he's got middle child written all over him! Haha

I'm plagued with sacroiliac pain, the rear end of pgp. It was one of the early signs I was pg. First time it was awful but last time it was more than manageable. I'm hoping it doesn't get too much worse. It can be so debilitating though!

Mystery get those pelvic floor exercises on the go!!! I have a rectocele prolapse from a forceps delivery, my trampolining days are over!!!!!! Haha

I can really relate to the feeling depessed Mystery.

My morning sickness has back. I feel bloody awful.
Between that and the anaemia, PGP, needing to pee constantly and feeling so self- conscious about my body, I'm feeling fed up.
I feel so guilty about feeling low.

Ali i love how organised you are. Typically i am also incredibly organised, but i have been scared to do most things for fear of temping fate  Although, i did send my mother in law the money for our pram for her to buy for us. Due to superstitions i couldn't bring myself to buy it! Glad she did, as it's now no longer available, apparently discontinued as there is a new version out! My OH Nan is busy knitting something of everything in every colour at the moment, which will be very handy being due in January :)
I will know the gender in 2 weeks as I have booked an early gender scan, and i think once its confirmed i may buy just a few little bits here and there. Official 20 week is on 25th August, so hopefully be doubly certain they are correct!
I have girls names coming out my ears, but boys, i have 1! We arent even really sure we like it either

Being pregnant is stirring up all sorts of emotion for me. Finding myself overwhelmed with sadness or empathy for everything and anything. I also found out my brother in law and his wife are expecting their second child, first month of trying and again got pregnant straight away. While i am obviously thrilled for them, i also felt a twinge of jealousy. Initially when they said they were trying again a month or two ago, it was like ooh we'll not be too far behind you. I was a touch angry at that comment, being so sure that it would happen straight away. I know we are pregnant now, but getting here was heartbreaking, and so many women go through worse than what we did. In a way the sadness that came with each month made us want it so badly, it became everything to us. I can imagine the want is not as strong if it comes so easily. That is the only positive i can really draw from our experience anyway.

Sorry to ramble.

Carly - interesting that your 20w scan is on the 25th as I think you are only a few days ahead of me? I'm due 22nd.

When I booked my scan, I told them we are going on holiday and they said the earliest they could do it was 19+6. Luckily they slotted me in on the day I am 20w and we go away the next day.

I know what you mean about others getting pregnant quickly - we went through a long process because I have PCOS and in that time, a couple in our family fell pregnant with their second child. At the time it felt like a bit of a kick in the teeth, until we fell pregnant ourselves.

when is your scan? Im 15 weeks yesterday i think, roughly. I am due the 21/01/18. Think my NHS scan ill be just 19 weeks? ill have to check, got me wondering if I have got it wrong now. Sure it was the 25th, there again id forget my head if it wasn't screwed on lately! x

Yes I am 15 weeks today. Don't worry, I didn't mean to worry you! I think different NHS Trusts have different rules on when the scan can be done. It just annoyed me a bit when I booked mine because they said they couldn't do it earlier than 19+6 yet one of the leaflets I was given by my midwife said it can be done between 18 and 20 weeks! I just don't understand why they are so inconsistent! My scan is on September 4th.

Thanks megsmeadow! Massively grateful for the baby box but glad we dont get it for a while space is at a premium here and i hate too much stuff hanging around! We wont even buy a baby bath until baby arrives 😂 truthfully my house isnt THAT small butbonly 2 bed and i just hate too much clutter.

Dont think ill use the box for sleeping unless its handy for downstairs?! Haha..i Have a barely used moses basket that my son wouldn't go in but id really like a next to me type crib- we loved co sleeping last time but it makes me nervous, think that would give me more peace of mind.

Cant shift this cough its so very exhausting!!

4th September is my Birthday! id swap you if i could, would make a lovely present  i know what you mean, the whole of the UK have all different rules depending on area. It makes it difficult on sites like these to know whats what cause we are all told differently. My 12 week scan was quite early too, i wasn't actually 12 weeks. more like 11 weeks and a few days. My next midwife appointment is the 9th of October i think, that feels an incredibly long time away! x

Could they not fit you in for the week where you are 20 weeks Carly? I was confused when you said your 20w scan was the 25th August as that is when my 20w scan is and I knew you were behind me by a week or so.

We already have all of bump's bedroom ready!! Cot up, blankets, few toys, play gym, blackout curtains, new lampshade, pram, moses basket. We are quite organised people and like to get things done. The room looks so cute waiting!

I feel like a balloon. My belly is very hard and I am VERY much showing. Baby is moving around lots and lots. If OH and I look at my belly we can almost always see bump moving around - except when bump is having naps!! Haha. Starting to actually feel the movements more now too. Feeling very blessed to be seeing and feeling movement already as most with their first don't until around 20ish weeks. I reckon I am going to be just like my mum and the baby is going to be all front showing by the looks of things.

I've attached some photos of my ever growing rock hard bump for anyone interested lol!

Glad you are all doing so well xx

Sorry I just call them 12 week and 20 week cause that's what I've always known them be called? How come I'd need it to be when I am 20 weeks, will it make much difference? I'll only be a week behind.

Oh no I doubt it'd make any difference!! I'm not sure how they work it or if all hospitals are different but when I booked my 12 week and 20 week the lady asked on which date am I actually 12 and actually 20 weeks so she could book it for that week! Maybe all hospitals are different not sure!! X

I see you are thinking you are going to have a girl? What does OH think the gender will be? Bet he is excited to find out considering how excited I remember you saying he was for the early scan you had x

If anything I have girls names and girls nursery ideas, so no doubt it'll be a boy lol. We both really aren't fussed either way, I'd just really like to know so I can start to plan the decorating and the colour scheme etc. Do you still think you'll have a boy? Your bump is coming on lovely. I went to a party Saturday, everyone commented how big I was, but I'd say I'm not much different to you! You've made me feel better lol x

At the start I was convinced for weeks it was a boy! But for the last month or just over I have strongly felt like it is a girl - not sure why. Everyone in my gender guess thread guessed girl all but one person who guessed boy! We really would love a little boy but we will be happy either way - a little girl would be just as lovely!!

Yeah I don't think we have much difference between us in bump size!! Haha. Do you think your baby will be an all front shower? Or spread? Xx

I think I said girl. On your thread on skull theory cause baby's head looks quite rounded. On the same theory I reckon boy for me only cause it's squared on the front slightly. Could be nonsense though lol.
I dunno it's quite round and hard at the moment but I suppose that could change I think I'll be huge to be honest lol x
