:) January 2018 Mummy's thread

Chair project will be good carly! We have bought a few bits of clothing - vests mainly, couple of neutral baby grows. That's it. But I have stuff in the loft - bath , steriliser , some blue bits, pram - including car seat (only used for my last one in 2015) , so not too worried about getting stuff until October.

I've not had any sleep, two of my boys were restless. Its hard work being pregnant with other ones to look after ! :(

Good luck for gender reveal on Saturday marie! and jctcongratulations on your girl! - did you post a 12 week gender guess scan? Xx

JCT cant remember if you did post, but would love to see your 12 week, and anyone else whos had gender confirmation. Like comparing and trying to guess :) x

I posted my 10 week scan pic but didn't ask for gender guesses.... wish I did now!! Weirdly, I had a dream a few nights before our scan where I picked a girls name!!

Very happy to announce we are having a LITTLE BOY!! Exactly what we wanted!! Dream come true :blue:

Can you please change my stalk to blue!!

Xx

Congratulations Marie! Goes to show you just can never tell lol x

Just been shopping and thought I'd share, the big baby and toddler event is back on at aldi x

Cheers Carly I've heard their nappies are fantastic will have to go x

I've heard the same. Rather than stock pile though I'm going to buy a few different brands of nappies and see how I go with each type. Then I'll just go with what I've found is best for us. Already got a free pack of pampers or huggies with a free mum to be pack. Can't remember if it was my emmas diary one or the bounty pack x

Hi Delores.... we found out its a girl :-)

Morning All,

I'm feeling refreshed this morning. Zachary had a sleep over at Nannie & Grandad's last night, me and OH went out for a meal with my parents. We had such a good time, i'm still gutted I couldn't squeeze in a pudding though haha! Also, had HUGE sleep in this morning.

Picking Zachary up at 1pm, and then onto my nephew's 2nd birthday party - it was cancelled last week as he got a sick bug, poor baby boy.

Alipops x

Sounds lovely ali! I'm in desperate need of some rest in these school hols! :( i am now full of cold and just feeling sorry for myself! :(

Anyone feeling stronger movements? I'm feeling really anxious that I'm not really feeling much. The odd thud still but couldn't be 100% certain of what it is! And not every day! I'm thinking my placenta must be at the front. I know I was feeling stronger movements around now with my others. X x

Hi sugar!

Id say im pretty certain im feeling movements but theres always that irrational doubt?

2 weeks since i started with the cold just left with the sniffles and a cough which i think may be on my chest now but isnt too bad i suppose but i feel your pain!

This pregnancy doesnt feel real enough for me so im relying on some regular, stronger movements to realise this is really happening?

Anyone else on their second or more pregnancy and actually more worried and panicky about labour? Im a suuuuuuper anxious person but surprisingly with my first i was quite calm in the whole pregnancy (more than usual!!) And was rational and thought no point in worrying about something i have no idea about and can't control... But this time i know whats coming ...even though i didnt have much trouble im frightened. Also panicking about the worrying newborn phase too!

I think my oh wants more kids but the fear of getting sick like some of you girls and the general worry and panick that pregnancy/labour/kids bring is frightening me off!

Same here sugar! I'm dying to feel proper kicks or movement that I can know for definite is baby. Then we'll all start worrying about how often baby kicks I'm sure! Never ending worrys!

Mel, glad your Cold is clearing. It's a nightmare I can feel it on my chest now. I'm not feeling regular movements, and things don't seem properly real for me either so I know what you mean. I've also not told my mother yet! ( only about 3 people actually know!) told my dad last night and he was fine and supportive which I expected. Telling my mum on Tuesday when she is back. Then we have the scan in 2 weeks, and it should all feel more real then, with movements too! :)

Oh and I'm on baby number 5, and still worry! Especially after a scary emergency c section last time. I'm the most anxious this time. I probably won't enjoy the pregnancy like I should either. And it's defiantly my last , so I want to enjoy it really. Xx

I know I can't wait to feel the proper kicks. I love that part. I feel like I'm in limbo at the moment, like it still feels surreal and yet very real! Find out in a couple of weeks where placenta is, and if that is having an affect on movements. Or if it's just me being paranoid! Maybe baby will suddenly start kicking me before then! :) we still can't decide on finding out the gender or not either xx

I haven't got any real obvious movement. Tummy sometimes feels a bit busy for lack of a better way to describe it? Could I be a bit early still? Only just 16 weeks.
Suffering with a constant headache again :( woke up at 1am with it, and it's still not gone.

You might be a bit early. Is this your first pregnancy? Typically they say that with your first pregnancy you don't usually feel proper movement until around 20+ weeks and any pregnancies after that then you usually feel proper movements sooner. I suppose it's because your body would have been through it before? Everyone is different though. This is my first and I felt movements and saw movements at exactly 16 weeks x

Yeah first pregnancy, I only turned 16 weeks yesterday. My ticker is wrong. Hopefully I'll start to feel something this week. I know I've heard the location of the placenta can affect feelings, but I've no idea where my placenta is lol x
