Tillie 16 weeks is still quite some time to wait for reassurance that baby is okay. I bet you're glad (in a way) that you got that early scan.

We had our private scan today. All is fine and my dates are bang on so far. There were TWO beautiful heartbeats fluttering away at us!! Can't quite believe it but we half expected it and it was one of the reasons we wanted an early scan. Think it's going to take a while to sink in though...

Thanks hun apparently when she told us I just went "f**k" I thought I had just thought it but it would seem not...oops! We did wonder what with the clomid and the fact I got a pretty strong positive on a frer 5 days before af was due but then I read that hcg doesn't really take off with twins until after a missed period.

I didn't know what I was looking at on the screen but hubs says he spied the two heartbeats. He's so excited, think it's going to take me a little longer - I was only just coming to terms with having one!! We're telling his parents this weekend cos he's so excited he doesn't want to wait until next weekend for fathers day lol

Hopingforbabyf - yeah i think were at exactly the same point, let me know how it goes, ive just booked a scan for next saturday, wanted one during the week but my partner is working away so have to wait. Mine is £70 but like you said id have paid more just for piece of mind
Have you had your first appt with the midwife yet'?

Had mw booking in.....million questions but all good. Hope to get scan date next week.

I'm not exactly sure how far along I am...give or take a few days, but am around 10 weeks....mw wanted to wait until next week to take blood to make sure I'm defo over 10+3 when they take it.

I am in next fri for a scan in the epu. I am going by my last scan that I will be 12weeks then, but will probably get a better idea fromm this one

I'm 9 weeks today got my booking appointment on Wednesday don't know how I'm going to cope with my morning sickness ,always had my booking appointments at home at least you know the toilet is free , think I'm really nervous which makes my sickness worse �� how did everyone else's booking appointments go ?

I have been to have my blood tests but haven't had a phone call from my midwife yet

I'm still floating on a wee cloud thinking 'this isn't real'. We told hubs' parents last night - we all cried. We gave them a card with a picture of the scan photo and wrote 'we can't wait to meet you both in january'. His dad read it but didn't cotton on at the picture and his mum saw the picture but didn't read the card so neither of them caught on it was twins! His dad is so excited and they both just want it to be January now I think he's phoning his sister today to tell her but no one else will be finding out until after 12 week scan.

I'll try and upload scan picture later on hope everyone isn't feeling too rough, I had a pretty rough one yesterday but don't know if that was nerves!

Do you have twins in your family, or did you just have a feeling that's why you booked the early scan
My partners grandad was a twin and there have been no other twins since

We booked it because we were on clomid so there's an increased risk of an ectopic pregnancy and/or multiples so we wanted to check baby was in the right place. Turns out there was twins on both sides from hubs' gran or great gran (can't remember which one). He didn't know that until we told his parents though.
