My scan letter arrived this morning, exciting times

Got a hen weekend this weekend, am unsure how I am going to be playing it at the moment...

Antibiotics won't cut it with my friends that will just confirm for them I'm pg. Think I will go for the pretend to drink, stay out of rounds and buy my own virgin versions at the bar!

It is an early viability scan as my lmp was Feb and we are undergoing fertility investigations (was told I don't ovulate so wasn't watching out for it, plus I had to do a pg test on the 30th April before taking medication, which was negative) so doctor has sent me to see if they can see anything. It is a week on Monday and I think I will be anything from 5-7 weeks if the digi was correct. Doctor thinks it is possible I could be more but I'm sure I'm not as I think I had a tiny bit of implantation bleeding and that would tie in with my thoughts.

I will be 8 weeks on Sunday, and should be due the 4th of January.
Found out at 13dpo and have been so nervous since, but slowly the weeks are going by and the symptoms are getting stronger, which I guess is a good thing, even if it means feeling sick for the most of the time. Just can't wait till my scan now

My first post, had my BFP on Tuesday, difficult to work out my EDD exactly - on a normal 28 day cycle it would be 23rd January, but my cycle varies 30-35 days so probably a few days later than that (didn't have any ovulation pain to go by this month).

Still quite shocked. We hadn't actually started trying yet, just stopped preventing and I was convinced we would struggle! Have told our two closest friends and my mum, figure we'd want the support if things went wrong.

Symptom-wise I've just had loads of cramps, terrible sleep and have been shattered, but I think the latter two might just be due to excitement!

snowbee i have a leaving do tomorrow and I'm the same antibiotics will be a giveaway, I'm doing the same as you, claiming poverty (even though it's 4 days after payday but hopefully they'll forget that) and saying I don't want to be in a round and my "gin and tonics" will be soda and limes. I can see myself drinking a lot of soda and lime over the next few weeks with my 30th in two weeks time as well!

millie is it worth maybe ringing up your doctors to see if you need a gp appointment/can get the number for midwifes and organise straight with them? I rang up and was just like I got a positive pregnancy test and have no idea if and when i need a doctors appointment and they said no just ring this number they'll set up all your appointments for you!

I rang last Friday and got my midwife and first ultrasound appointment arranged, and the letters arrived yesterday!

I take it there's no issue with flying this early? I'm going to Tenerife on Monday and has only just occurred to me to think about it! xx

I'm flying at 9/10 weesk taboo and it should be fine.

Gotta love the fake drinking, I did it a lot with James as antibiotics is a proper give away lol.

Ironically I ended up on antibiotics twice in Tri 1 last time though with gum infections !!

Hey girls. Been for my scan - I'm a bit disappointed the nurse said that all that could be seen was the gestational sack and the yolk sac. I'm worried that there's no baby but not sure if I'm too early? Going by my LMP I'm 6+5 today. So I take it that means the fetal age is only 4+5? I've to go back again in two weeks when I'll be just under 7wks and see what happens x

I have wondered about the drink thing too... my friends have known that we have been ttc from the beginning really and my best friend is on to me already! The problem is I have a few gatherings with the same friends before the 12 week mark and they're going to know straight away, and then be confirmed every time we meet after that! I drink only Kopparbergs, and although they do them alcohol free you can't get them in the places we're going so I can't pretend to be drinking as I had planned!! Really don't know what I'm going to do DH says I should tell them I'm cutting it out because we're ttc but can't see that washing...?? xx

Another one struggling with excuses not to drink! Weekend away with a group of friends this weekend, the. In two weekes time will be out with them again at a hen party, and two weeks after that I'm at Glastonbury. They're very close friends so thinking it may be easier to just fess up this weekend so they don't make comments about me not drinking in front of others!

God yes! I've been roasting all the time! Luckily my office is notorious for being hot so it disguises it a bit, but I'm walking out to visits without my jacket and blasting out cold air on the ac- think my student is on to me too!! x

Oh I phoned up my surgery today to book in with MW (assumed it would be same system as where I work like an idiot), apparently I have to see a GP first which just feels like a massive waste of time, particularly as with my work it may be impossible to get there for a few weeks. I may see if they will do it as a telephone consultation if I check my own blood pressure as otherwise its going to be a million years before I get a scan through.

Lynne, I would try not to worry too much. It seems that it's really common that not much is seen with some early scans and lots of people seem to say that they got put behind with dates, but had caught up by 12 week scan.

I have tried to attach a photo of the scan I had on Monday which was 7+0. Not sure if will have worked though.
