and ordered a doppler today.

Feeling a bit sorry for myself (no real reason why...just pregnancy hormones i guess).

Also realised that I've still nearly 4 weeks to wait for my 20 week scan, and apart from feeling fat (well it is a bit more bump like now), and tired i don't feel prgenant, and havne't felt my little pip yet.

So thought, sod it, I'm going to order one and hope i can hear the heartbeat - midwife found it last week so at least i know what to listen out for!.

Should be coming tomorrow (paid for express delivery, such was my impatience!!). HAven't told the hubby as I want it to be suprise.

Was tempted to book a private scan to break up the wait til 20 weeks, but though this was a cheaper option!!

Got n agel sounds one - anyone else have one of these, or have any tips?

xxx

I have one and it's brill. Just move in very small circles, tiny tiny movements and don't get worked up cos baby will sense it and hide!

Just take ur time and relax - and enjoy!!

I got the angelsounds one and it's great. My tip would be to make sure NO mobile phones are near it cos it lets out a high pitched squeal lmao.

I normally find Bertie's hb down low and to the left centre xxxxxxxxx

i was a bit dubious when i bought mine but it puts ur mind at rest hun it was the best £20 i ever spent i heard my LO yesterday but he doesn't like it so the move, i wouldn't worry about not feeling the baby yet hun, try sitting or lying down quietly and it's the best feeling in the world, i read in the NHS pregnancy book that it happens between 16-18 weeks but you dont always recognize it because it may feel like you have got gas! hope everything goes well hun xx

Its amazing being able to hear bubbas heartbeat at home! When I first got mine I couldn't hear anything and I got a bit worried but I found it in the end! Your baby should be quite low in the pelvis so concentrate on that area! If you don't find it straight away don't fret you will find it I promise. It never fails to put a smile on my face every time I listen :)

I should get one too but I'm so paranoid I won't be able to find it and it would make me stress :(

I got an anglesounds too and really put my mind at east although it did take me hours to find the HB, Defo agree abut d mobile Holy f&*% it nearly deffened me d first time lol

Lmao hugsy I thought it was baby and nearly fainted

now I've just laughed out lousd atwork over this..theres an iea for playing a trick on hubby though......

Now I've seen the midwife andwhere she heard it, i now how low to go (if you know what i mean!)

Excited now...just had an email to say its been dispatched..hope it comes wrapped well as I'm getting it deleiverd to work...and I work on a building site!!

I got my angelsounds before too. I love it, but have anterior placenta so sometimes can't find a clear HB, but I know everything is fine. But don't worry if you don't find HB straight away as LO will move around a lot. x

i have had mine for about 5 weeks and only found the hb last night, it was very low down, i couldnt belive how low, amazing sound though xx

:pompom: :yay:  coooool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and becky.....apparently neighbours don't like it when you grab their cats to check their hb's too....miserable old cow

Baby Brain, would you be the one to try it on a neighbours cat by any chance; Lol.
This has now gve me an idea to try the dogs but don't think I will. x

I have really wanted one, but am so frightened that I won't be able to hear it and will panic. I'm going to the baby show on Saturday. Hoped there might be some there I could pick up. Is there a better one or are all angel sounds the same? Xxxx

There are others available but generally more expensive.

To see the look on hubby's face when he heard it earlier justified my spend

If I hadn't heard HB with midwife I prob wouldn't of got one as I wouldn't of known what to listen for xx

Angel sounds are def the best. The summer something one is rubbish (from Argos) so don't get that.

I love the angelsound. It took a while before I found the HB but when I did it was great! It's great for daddy's too.

Xx
