I'm being so silly, i've been looking online about how long its takes to get a BFP after the depo and got myself all down...it could take years :(

I had my last injection in october and its due to wear off in december, we really really want to get a BFP i just wish there was a magic wand i could wave to get the depo out of my system now. lol

xxxx

dont despair, about 5 yrs back I was on depo had been on it for about 2 yrs, came off it within 3 months I was pregnant!!

I since had the implamon in and am worried coz I read online that it can take months to get body back to normal but I gotta remeber that every ones experiance with it is deifferent!

Hey hun it all depends on your own body. I have heard of women who get pregnant straight after they discontinue with depo.
It is an awful drug though IMO. And has been used to chemically castrate sex offenders in the US.

I used it for six years and only toward the end did i find out certain things about the drug.

My depo jab ran out beginning of October and it took me till July the following year to get a BFP.
My cycles were messy for months and literally had only sorted themselves out not long before the BFP.

I hope you are one of the lucky ones hun  and you get your BFP soon

I had the implanon for 3 years and had incredibly problems after I had it removed. It took months and months before my hormones got back to a normal level. My GP even thought I might have endometriosis because of the pain I would get every month but thankfully I don't :)

It's all out of my system now and all is well!! Periods back to normal, no more pain except the normal when AF arrives.

If I ever had the choice again I'd just have the month by month normal pill.

I really wish i had looked into it more at the time, i only had it because of doctors advice.

We are praying that i catch early.

I'll do anything to prepare my body, i'm looking for as much info as possible.

I'm going to start taking folic acid in december.

I'm already on a healthy diet and losing weight steadily (lost 4.5 stone this year and i'm going to keep going until i'm down to a healthy 9st).

Everything i've done this year has been to prepare us and my body for a baby :)

how long did it take for AF to go back normal, when I came off mine, it went back reg pretty quick but its now 3 weeks late but im only getting BFNs so relly confused!!!

Sounds like you are doing a great job in preparing which in turn will help you with concieving. I found that the extra weight i was carrying whilst on depo dropped of me quite quickly.

I have the implanon at the moment but i am getting it removed as this is another form of contraception which does not agree with me :?
I am gonna let my body get back to normal and will be using condoms. Although next year we are hopefully going to try for our second child :D

hiya hun it took a year for me to get pregnant after having the deopo although i wasn't sexualy active when i came off it and didn't want a bfp i only came off it cas of the chances of getting brittle bone and i wanted to get my af's sorted and back to normal etc... i fell pregnant when me and hubby started being sexualy active, so if i was trying for a baby before i probaly would of got pregnant before, i hope you don't have long to get your bfp, mabe hcarting would help you?

i stoped my injection in may and was on it for almost four years and have been havin regular afs since auguest havent had my bfp yet but havent allways had the chance to ttc as my oh was away for a while and then we moved to london etc and now he works 12hrs a day 6 days a week and i work nearly as much so i think we jus miss my ov date its only been like this last month iv started to chart and mointer cm and stuff lol have u had regular afs

It took me about 8 or 9 months before I was back to normal with no horrendous period pains that came mid way during my cycle as well as when AF arrived.

Oh no :( I've just had implanon removed about 2weeks ago, & i've been having quite bad af pains for the last few days, but nothing. (& nothing expected for a couple of weeks as I was af when it was removed) Hope i'm not going to struggle for months!
Like hubby says, all them chemicals can't do our bodies any good :( he thinks i'm happier/more relaxed now its out, & i've lost about 5lb in 2weeks without even trying!! in my 10's again
Ironic, we spend half our lives trying not to catch, then when we're ready the chemicals play havock (sp?) with us :wall:

I'm sure it won't be the same for you hun. We all react differently and I know people who had no problems coming off it and returned back to normal the next month. Congrats on the weight loss :D

I know what you mean, I've spent most of my life not wanting to get pregnant and now I do it's taking forever :wall:

I was on the depo injection but think it effects diffent pepoel differntly because even thgoth i've been ttc for over 2 years my uncles partner missed her injection by 3 weeks and got a pg, twice. Hopefully you'll be like her.

Thanks :D
It will happen when it happens, time will tell....
Lots of baby dust to everyone tcc  x

I was on depo for 2 years until Jan this year. I went on to the mini pill then until July to hopefully get some of it out of my system before ttc. Had my last pill at the end of July, AF has been all over the place, from 18 days to 6 wks. Getting a bit frustrated now!!!

My friend was on depo for 9 years (no once said anything about the length of time she was on it!) Had her last injection in November last year & is no 14wks pg. It came as a surprise for them cos they thought it would take ages!

So I think it does depend on the individual!
