Hey girls, how we all doing???

Im starting to find it very hard not to tell every one the news as each weekend arrives, so far I have got away with it, chest infection so on antibiotics, then had a uiet weekend etc but got a girly bbq Sunday and dont know how I will get around it but also on 26th we have our annual summer meal out where about 15 of us girls are going out for a meal and its always one hell of a night out! Uggggghhhh!!!!

Its my own fault for being such a social butterfly, its actually shocking if one of us is suddenly not drinking and if one person says 'are you pregnant?' I will break!

Well you can use the excuse that you have to drive, as you want to get home. Seeing as you have used the antibiotics line, it can't really be used again.

Ha I was hoping to use that one again!!!! I can drive this weekend and get away with it but got that big meal and night out next weekend then its only flipping bank holiday where we always have a big one! Then I am on holidays thank god!!! Its just the next 2 weekends that are going to fail me! When did everyone start telling people????x

Are they close friends?? Some of my friends new really quite early - cos it was ones i go out with all the time, and between the no alcohol and the sickness they all guess fairly quickly - And i never want to say no in case i jinx it.

Maybe you could tell them but explain its not public knowledge. I know the main reason for not telling folk is in case something goes wrong - but the other side of that is - that if God forbid- the worst happens, you have people to turn to for support.

By the 26th you'd be 10 weeks - so not that far away from the standard 12.

I know how you feel. I have 2 weddings this weekend and next weekend and I am not drinking at all. I've even been considering what to do with the toast!! Lol.

I keep reminding myself why I am not telling people though. I found it heartbreaking having to go and tell everyone I miscarried last time so I'm not going through that again.

It is hard girls, every weekend that passes its getting harder!

I am a lucky girl as have a massive group of close friends, but this is also the problem, there is probably 10/12 of us who are very close and are the 'group' that go out together etc then there is a few more that are also good friends but more through the others if that makes sense, but anyway if I told my closest 10 odd there is no way one of them wont slip up! U know whats its like!

I have told my bestest mate and another very close friend but how do I pick who else to tell with out blurting it out to them all! It seems silly but if I can just tell the odd preson I dont feel like I will burst for a few days!!!I remember this was hard having to pick between friends when it came to day and evening guests at our wedding in April, wasnt expecting to have to do it again so soon!!!!! xx

I'm rubbish!! Have told a few close friends already and am only 6 weeks!! But like a previous poster said, they would all be people who I would rely on for support if things went wrong.

Yea thats very true, if anything was to happen they would probably all find out anyway, I think it comes down to jinxing it if we tell too soon!x

Well iv used the following excuses this time and say time have combined my excuses for u! , headache I don't want to make worse upset tummy , antibiotics, driving, and the latest one where I went to bar n bought drinks but got the barmaid to do my one as peartiser in a wine glass or to put a teaspoon amount of wine then top with lemonade while first few drinks were going on then as its dark no one notices u swoppin them out for lemonade if its in a wine glass or if ud normally have spirits just say its bacardi/vodka coke etc n just have a diet coke or a archers lemonade but just have lemonade I even dropped my shot accidently at a hen party n then got 1close freind to Swop drinks along the way so I didn't drink alcohol. (she knew). Other things u could try is having to leave early so having to drive or having taken painkillers for period cramps etc x

LOL, quite a hard one!! I like to have a bottle of wine on a weekend and people keep asking me 'are you having a drink this wkend?' Im like no, me n oh have worked really hard this week were just guna have an early night, which isnt a lie considering i was in bed by 10.30 last night lol. I know my belly is slowly apperaring, i think everybody who looks at me know im preg (thats defo in my mind, i think). Last time i found out i was preg at 5 week, we told everybody, only to loose it a week later, now im 6 week, only me and oh know. Its been very hard not to tell people but think it will be worth it in the end xx
