Its been nearly a year

Hey all
As the title says its been nearly a year since I stopped the pill. I finished my last pack end of April 2011. Mainly just to give my body a break and get my cycle back to 'normal'. I started my periods quite late at 15 which were then very irregular..I'd sometimes go 2/3 months without one and put it down to my body getting regular.
I then went on the pill at 17 when I met my bf and my periods then became like clockwork. Every 4th saturday at 2pm to be exact lol. We've now been together 4 1/2years and are getting married next May so i wanted to get the pill out of my system before we tried..knowing it can take up to a year and i wss irregular before. Were nnot trying for a baby yet as we want to get married.
When I came off the pill I had my withdrawal bleed and then expected my periods to start up. And it didn't make an appearance until the September. The week before I came on I had pains lile never before. I have always had painful periods but this one topped the lot! I actually thought I was dying! It was then the week after I had my period and realised they must have been ovulation pains. I finally thought id start my periods again..but no I've not had another since :/.
I had 2 days in December when I bleed Brown blood (sorry tmi) and tested as Id read about implantation bleeding. I tested once a week for 4 weeks after that and all were negative. I don't know whether it was a period as I never had any pain what so ever!
My bf wants me to go to the docs as he's worried something may be up but i explained that it can take up to a year but I'm secretly worried and don't want to go to the docs incase something is wrong or to be told im wasting their time as it takes a year blah blah which I already know.
Sorry for such a long post but wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this before and to tell me to stop worrying. We would like to start trying after the wedding and im glad that i came off the pill when i dod cuz i couldnt have handled this when we try to conceive.

I was on the implant for 4 years and I got that out last december and sometimes I get really bad period pain. My ov pain wasnt so bad until now this is the second month ttc and the second month ive had quite bad cramps during AF.

You should maybe try angus cactus to bring your cycles and ov forward, its a drug u can get from holland and barrets and you take it everyday until Ov(obviously u would need to opk from cd10 or temp to know ov) alot of girls use this for their cycles. Google and have a wee look.

Thanks for the reply. I may have to look in to getting some of that as I really want to get my periods regulated so that when we do try its abit easier to know when to test etc. I actually miss not having periods...but I think its because I want to feel normal . I was speaking to a friend who also came off the pill but didn't come on her period for longer than a year after stopping it. She hasnt then had once since her last one.
