Itchy hands

Hi Ladies,

Ever since coming out of hospital yesterday, my hands and fingers won't stop iching and it's an annoyance, seems that whatever I do, I can't get rid of it.

Is this like a withdrawal from the drips I was on? Or because they took a lot of blood? Or just a simple annoyance?

Any useful tips would be great!

Ive just had this in my hand and feet and it turned out I have developed an allergy to penicillin since being pregnant, could it be anything like that?

itchy hands can be a bad sign in preg of a liver problem- http://www.pregnancyforum.co.uk/forum/v ... hp?t=13763 so best get it checked out really.

Yeah thats what the hosp tested me for, id get checked out hun they will just take some blood from you thats all

Yes - our midwife at the antenatal classes told us about excessive itching on your hands and feet - can be that Cholestasis thingy - which she said is basically being allergic to your baby and the only way to stop it was to "rid" your body of the baby i.e have it!!!!! Just keep an eye on it!
