I know baby aspirin can be used for pregnancy when you have problems with blood clotting but i have also read it can help prevent miscarriage for a number of other reasons, Ive had 2 miscarriages this year and would like to try anything that might prevent me having a third, im 6 weeks and 3 days at the moment and have an early scan on thurs, do you think its too late to start taking baby aspirin or should i wait till scan and speak to them about it??
Has anyone else used it??

I would wait and ask your doctor/mw about it at this stage.

I was prescirbed 150mg of asprin daily by my specialised who I was seeing for pcos. I think that it helps to settle the placenta. He has told me to take it up to 28 weeks. That was from about 5 weeks. However, you shouldn't take anything without checking with your Dr or at least your mw. I am sure it will not be too late if they recommend it at your early scan next week. xx

babydust, can you point me in the right direction of the progesteron cream you used please? I am going ot use both asprin and that next time.

i was very interested when i read about baby asprin the other day, how does progesterone cream work?when i get my bfp i want to do everything i can to avoid another mc. although unfortunatly u can do everyting ur meant to do and its still not meant to be. nature knows when theres something wrong.

dina progesterone is what holds the pregnancy all together from what i've read. you can have great hcg but if the progesterone is low it can all fail, they give some women tablets and some pessaries. i think the most we can hope for in the uk is cream as the uk doesnt test progesterone levels.
