Is it safe to drink around ovulation time?

I am planning to start trying again soon. The thing is ovulation when we are planning to start again would be around the middle of holiday. Just wondering how safe it is drinking a few days after ovulation? Only other thing I can think of is taking pill for day or 2 after it restarts again then stop Or when the week break comes up on pill I take it for a few days then stop.
