Is it possible to bd too much??

Trying to follow smep but oh is getting carried away!

Currently on cd14 and just got what I think is a pos opk but have bd everyday since cd8 apart from cd11!! Oh keeps saying he wants to make sure we catch the egg!! Lol

Anyway what I want to know is is it possible to over do it and his sperm to be affected?? It's all well and good making sure we don't miss it but sometimes it's more quality than quantity that counts!! 😏

there will be plenty of sperm there if you dtd daily, however everything i have read says that every other day is best because the quality of sperm is better. They can live up to 5 days in you so really you are just topping up.

if you are still enjoying it daily then no harm but you also don't want it to become a chore.

Yes its best to dtd every other night to give sperm chance to fighting fit so to speak lol x

me and OH are trying to BD every other night this month rather than using opks or temping, as i am very regular with 28day cycles... hoping our problem is that we just dont BD enough as we both work shifts but were making a point of making it fun and spicing things up a bit as im sure most women who are TTC know, things in the bedroom can become quite regimented with no real emotion... so i would defo say make sure you BD every other night xxx

Im going with the every other day option this month, I make it as far as cd12 then get carried away insisting we do it everyday for next 4-5 days so we don't miss the egg! Ends up being a bit of a chore lol.
