Is a cold an Early Pregnancy Sign?

12dpo today and for the last 2 days I've had a cold which has totally come out of nowhere. More of a sore throat and stuffy nose.

I'm due to test tomorrow so obvs I'm symptom spotting so I've been onto google and seen That a cold could be an early pregnancy sign.

From what I can gather its because the body uses the immune system to ensure that the embryo isn't rejected as a foreign body which makes you more likely to catch a cold. Other stories just show quite a few ladies do get a cold before a BFP. Has anyone experienced this or heard about it before??

I've heard of it yes that it is an early pregnancy symptom aswell as earache x

I get something called pregnancy rhinitis and that's basically a stuffy nose. It starts literally from bfp till birth so Yup totally a symptom xx

Yes that was one of my first symptoms and I had a stuffy nose most of my pregnancy xx

That totally explains the way i was feeling when I woke up on New Years Eve... and i got my BFP on the 2nd January... nose still stuffy and can't stop sneezing lol...

I had a cold before I got my bfp. Think it's the immune system lowering so it doesn't reject the pregnancy so you're more susceptible to getting a cold. I think!

Tested today and BFN but no AF yet, going to leave it until Wednesday now but still got a stuffy nose so here's hoping x

I'm going out of my mind with all these pregnancy symptoms but no AF and all BFN's!!
10 days late now, and got a cold yesterday, proper stuffy nose and sore throat, it came out of nowhere... Aaargh, how many more symptoms can I have whilst waiting and hoping for a BFP?!
