Hi all,

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow with my first little babe and I've put 9lbs on. Is that normal or a little on the fast side?

I was told 1-5lbs in tri one is normal... which I hit, but then I went a bit mental and had a some maccys and started eating chocolate at night and now I feel like a whale.

Any insight would be fab!

xx

Hey Harriet I'm 15+2 :)

Weight gain is very normal. Are you eating healthy?

Don't worry about weight too much. I'm sure it's ok. x

I am afraid to weight myself! I havent stepped on the scales since I got me bfp lol.

I havent been overeating massively but just not denying myself to the occasional pastry or chocolate milkshake which I never would have ate before. In the first trimester I was way too tired to walk my usual daily 4 miles so I am bound to have put on at least 6lbs. I am 16 weeks. I am feeling up to walking now and started pregnancy yoga and swimming.

Wouldnt worry about it too much as long as the baby if healthy thats the main thing. Try to exercise a bit more if you have the energy.

I averaged a pound a week from the very beginning, all 3 times. So at my first midwife appointment at 10 weeks I was 10 lbs up. I had very healthy pregnancies and babies and was always reassured my weight gain was normal. Yours is too!

I haven't actually weighed myself..... but I think I've put on around 5-10lb x

Hey Charlotte!

Yeah I had a wobble and wanted rubbish for a week but I eat a balanced diet and exercise. Thanks lovely! Aw we're so close how funny is that! How you feeling? X
