Unbelievable I can’t believe how insensitive some companies can be. My boss is great and she’s only ‘following orders’ from our ever incompetent HR department. Who gave her all the information to progress me through a disciplinary because my absence off work on Friday due to my miscarriage meant I hit a ‘trigger point’ ARGHHHHHHH so I had to tell them how to do their damn job and advised them that pregnancy related illness does not count towards normal sickness absence totals... I’d been trying to make a decision on if I want to stay working here or not as my contract is up at the end of May and I’ve been offered a permanent contract I’m so not sure I want to work somewhere that doesn’t know their arse from their elbow...

How insensitive... I mean ffs I only took 1 day off.... I was back in Monday morning bright and early... I could almost understand it if HR were men but they’re not... ARGHHHHHHHH rant over... for now.... :wall2::wall2:

Oh honey, firstly I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Secondly I am gobsmacked by your company, their behaviour is just terrible; can't tell you what to do for the best but I think you should take some time to think about what you want to do.

Sending love and best wishes your way x

Sorry to hear this hun,

Like you need this on top of everything else.

I hope now that you have explained the time off was prenancy related that has put on end to matters?

Sadly when you work somewhere that uses the 'trigger point' system it doesn't differentiate for types of absence. I know someone who works for the NHS and hit a trigger point after his Mother's death (once it was all explained it was sorted) but still.

xxxxxxxxxx

Thanks guys. I had a feeling this would happen to be honest.. useless monkey’s. I do feel sorry for my boss. She’s taken all the info and passed it onto HR so hopefully that’s the end of it. But I feel so angry and upset at the moment finding it very hard to concentrate this afternoon now. x

First of all I am so sorry that you lost your bean, I know it won;t help help but I am...

secondly what a bunch of arseholes, hopefully now you have told them it was pregnancy related it will all e done with.

Thirdly, make sure you take some time for yourself, if you can;t concentrate at work then get signed off, if your signed off and they have a trigger system it still shouldn;t count I don't think but you could check :)

:hugs: xxxxxxxxxx

Well I have the next 4 days off work thanks to the bank hols :) I'm still seething about HR's attitude. I went back to work thinking that it would do me good to launch myself in and keep my mind of things... almost wishing i hadn't gone back in... it's pickled my head a bit since that meeting...

I'm also worried that on the 13th when i have to go back to the EPU for a second scan to make sure all the products of conception are gone that they won't be and the Dr will have to remove them... i can't imagine that's going to be great and i'm meant to be heading to work right after that appointment..... :(

If you're not renewing I'd be tempted to go to the press. How terribly satisfying to embarrass them on a major scale! Otherwise they'll just do it to someone else xxx
