Hi ladies,

Little bit of an embarrassing question but I gave birth on Tuesday to my second baby and since I have been leaking wee and even had to rush to the loo as one time I couldn't hold in a poo. I've started pelvic floor exercises but am needing something a bit more than just maternity towels.
Has anyone else had this problem and can you recommend something for me to wear in my knickers?
TIA xx

Sorry I can't be of much help, but I was always having to rush to the loo after birth as couldn't tell I needed a wee until it was about to trickle out. And also I didn't feel the need to go and I had to remember to go. I did pelvic floor exercises which did the trick for me. I hope you're I'd pretty straight forward too. Xx

I will definately continue with pelvic floor exercises! I do get the urge to wee but I think like you said I'll try and make myself go even if I don't think I want to just in case xx

They don't tell you this when u have a baby !! I was mortified and remember saying 'I feel like I'm peeing myself' my midwife on one of my checks after baby was born confirmed that yep that's normal !!!! I wore pads for the bleeding and then slim liners for many weeks after as I was soooo scared that I was going to pee myself and needed a bit of protection. Best advice I've got is don't let your bladder become too full before going to the loo as that's when I needed to concentrate so much on not peeing myself lol. I had a pretty traumatic labour tho !!

Congratulations btw xx

this happened to me after both my births - the poo issue went away after a week or so, but the wee one never went away after my second baby! so I have been wearing tena lady mini since! It has been worse while pregnant this time, so guess I may need to address this after this birth!

I still don't have an urge to poo until I'm about to go. I spoke to the doctor and he said lots of pelvic floor exercises is the only solution right now. It drives me nuts!
