Grace didn't engage at all until part way through labour!

doesn't 1/5 engaged mean hes praactically fully engaged? don't they do it as in how much of the head they can feel, so they can only feel 1/5 of his head? x

I wasn't engaged at my last appt and my midwife said not to worry at all as it can happen during labour

1/5 means v close to giving birh! As in dropped right right down.

You're right it means that he's 1/5 engaged (4/5 can still be felt outside the pelvic, so only 1/5 has engaged into it) - but as so many ladies have already said, that doesn't necessarily mean much, sometimes it doesn't happen until you're in established labour. Anyway, a bit of bouncing can't do any harm...
