Hiya :)

Long story short when i was 13 i stopped eating pork, lamb and beef just because...

I am now 25 and still haven't eaten those meats 12 years later.

I am ttc and i don't know whether i should insist that i start eating these meats again or not.

On one hand i want to be able to eat with my children and don't want to influence them.

On the other hand, not eating these meats is ingrained into my habits and lifestyle. It's become part of who i am.

My husband does eat meat and basically we have separate meals.

It isn't going to be easy for me and no just filling my mouth isn't the end of it.

I originally didn't eat duck either, but started again a few years ago, and i am not exaggerating when i say that i was violently sick (not self induced) and had terrible nightmares and hallucinated for a couple of days afterwards every time i ate it for the first couple of times.

What do you think i should do?

Is it worth eating those meats again or isn't it worth it?

Well, I suppose it depends on your reasons for not eating these meats in particular, and whether or not your family eats these meats, and what you all feel comfortable with?

There isn't a particular reason, i was 13 and trying to be different.

However, it initially gave me a sense of accomplishment and i suppose there is still that.. just an element of control that i have over myself where other people can't resist.

Yes my family eats these meats - everyone that i know does.

I am scared of eating them now. Fear is what is feel like. Something in my head telling me no when i consider eating them.

I feel like i need a reason.

I think that if you don't want to do it, then don't!
If you don't want to eat them, and there's no reason for you to need to eat them, then why bother? x

I also do not eat lots of these kind of meats. It is simply not very healthy..
