Hi ladies.
Here's my issue

I have a son 9, recently had my coil.out after 9 years. And according to my period and ovulation tests, I'm fertile now but will ovulate Tuesday 17 November. So If I catch I'll have baby August 11 2016

My over ovulation date is estimated arpund 3rd December - due date 8 Sept 2016

The problem I have my fiance has just told me that his parents and his daughter (12) and himself are going to.visit his sister in Australia from July -end August 2016

I'm really confused as I'd like a baby asap and ee have discussed it in great detail. We are in a great place emotional. Financially and time wise. Both have nursing degrees so plenty of job opportunity.

So the question....

Do I go for it and have a August baby which will have its birthdays off school and allow me to go back to work sooner.
but he'll miss the birth :(

Or do I go for a Sept birth which I'm not overly keen on as baby will be in school for birthdays and I'll be out of work a bit longer. There's also the possibility that if I'm due September I could still go into labour late August when he's still in Australia!!!! '

We had discussed theses plans for pregnancy 3 months ago and both agreed that I should have the coil out and use condoms until I have had 2 cycles to get my body back in gear. Also there is a lot of females ( 4) in my family that are infertile due to polycystic ovary syndrome. I'm 29 and am.keen to get started asap.

The holiday is not booked etc yet but he seems.insistent on going as not seen his sister for 2 years.

Should I go for it August due or September!????

Personally I'd go for it now. An August Birthday makes a lot of sense and if you end up getting pregnant he could always book the holiday to start a week or two earlier (like as soon as his daughter breaks up from school in July) so that they can come back in time for the birth. Or maybe he could just go for two or three weeks rather than a full month.

Don't forget you could go overdue, so even if you were due mid August you might not actually give birth til the very end of August.

Weighing it up I would be wanting to start trying now and plan holidays etc around the pregnancy rather than the other way around lol.

Well... there's no certainty that you will fall preg first cycle so I wouldn't worry about it too much. If your having these concerns then maybe wait a bit longer.

Ditto Erynera - I'm on cycle 13 of trying with no luck and I'm only 26

You really can't plan these things, it can take up to a year for even a healthy, fertile couple to conceive!

I agree there are no guarantees you will conceive first time so I wouldn't worry too much.

Maybe if you do fall pregnant he could come home sooner than planned anyway?

Never mind the baby I'd wanna know why I wasn't invited on the holiday lol

Lilmisshopeful has a point! I'd be wanting to go on holiday!

But in all seriousness, it could take months even if you are both very fertile and healthy. So just go for it.

I declined to go as I didn't want to leave my son 9, behind with grandparents. My son has ADHD and would not enjoy spending 4 weeks stuck in a relatives house in Australia, miles away from any town or swim pool. I declined to go because I knew my son wouldn't enjoy it at all. I'm.taking him to London instead as he he wants to go to the tower or London lol.. . According to my ovulation calendar and stick tester. I'm getting an Lh surge today so ovulating soon. Fingers crossed. Thanks so gals. Advice greatly appreciated

She loved the underground best lol
