Yes, the advice is brilliant on this forum, but i'm seeing more and more threads where people seem to be apologetic for their choices and i feel that people are explaining their decisions.

Congrats to everyone i say, bf is difficult so is bottle feeding, hell having a baby is bad enough.

So i saulte all mothers its the toughest job in the world, but please please please try not to beat yourself up about your feeding choices, they are all thought out, and are mostly the result of circumstances (i've not seen a mummy on here that is doing nothing but her very best). Listen to the advice as i've said before its better than you'll receive from most professionals BUT dont apologise for the decisions you've made.

Well said. I spent the first few weeks of my daughter's life apologising for and trying to justify to others the choice I made because I felt I had to. Those minutes would have been better spent enjoying my baby and I hate to see others do the same.

I agree this website is great for advice and support but i do feel like its a case of walking on egg shells some of the time so as to not upset people.. woman and hormones are never a good combination though!

I love a good discussion on the forums as i think its healthy to understand others and i believe it educates you. I think its a shame though that a lot of what is said blows up and end up in rows (on certain topics that is).

Hey ho... as i said, the forum has helped me loads and the ask a mum section has been great!

I think its cause sometimes we can't tell the way ppl say stuff because a: we have not met the person and b as you said hormones are running all over this forum what with pregnancy, post pregnancy etc...

I used to read a bodybuilding website forum and a few ppl on there took steroids you could tell cause BOY were there some arguments the difference was it was more rude and no one apoligised...

(I never posted there for that reason)

Maybe everytime someone says sorry we should donate a pouind to a baby charity :)

well said!

I feel like sometimes my choices are the "right" ones :(

I know I do alot of things that other mums (and my HV) don't agree with but its right for me and my children - and the proof is in the pudding so to speak, my kids are happy and so am I. If you are 100% sure you have made the right decision then no-one should make you feel bad. I don't care if people disagree, as long as they are not spouting incorrect reasons at me, like carrying my baby will make her clingy
