I cant calm down...

Tomorrow is my Brother's birthday and him, his girlfriend and their Son, who is 15 months old, were meant to be coming to us and we were going for a meal...a couple of days ago they changed their minds and we now have to go there...so, my OH says he aint going now cos they have changed their minds. He says he had made plans around them coming here and he shouldn't have to change those plans. The plans being - picking up a table from his borther's (a table I dont even want) and watching the Grand Prix. So now, I have to go to my Brother's without him and say what? Oh sorry, he dont want to come cos he'd rather watch the Grand Prix????? Every weekend I go and see my Mum and Brother and although he is always welcome he never comes and its fine, I leave him to it but for my Brother's birthday? I thought he would have made a bit more of an effort...I'm not even so much angry anymore, just upset cos I put in the effort for his family.

My OH tried this once, it was so embarrasing. I told him he didnt have to come but he did have to call and tell them that he wasnt coming, cos it shouldnt be down to me to lie to my friends and make excuses for him. He called them and while he was on the phone ended up arranging to go the next day instead. My friend text me after and said "take it he's in trouble then?!" lol was so funny!

If I were you Id try it, tell him to call your brother and give his excuses, seeing as he's been invited to a birthday party, its only polite to RSVP! Tell him that if he doesnt ring you're notgonna lie for him and you'll just tell them that he couldnt be bothered!

Well Tiny, very good idea and I probably would do that but at the minute we're not talking and I cant bring myself to talk to him either!! Every so often he does these things that annoy/upset me so much I cant bring myself to even look at him for a couple of days!

I know exactly the feeling, Sometimes Im so mad at him I cant sleep. Then he starts snoring and i get madder cos I think "selfish ******* sleeping while I cant!"

Oh no! I dont know what to suggest but he should be making the effort and be a little bit more flexible. I hope he comes around

Thanks Ladies...He didn't come with me and haven't spoken to him since about 1pm...I've just got home and he's round his Brother's...I hope he stays there to be honest...my Brother said he was really looking forward to seeing him and his girlfriend gave me a doggy bag of food to bring home for him...*******, dont even deserve it...

Bin the food or eat it like Tiny said, but don't give it to him. I'm not surprised your annoyed and upset hun. Me and OH were supposed to be at the in laws this afternoon for sunday day, we go fairly often, every few weeks or so. But I was asked to ring on Friday and cancel because England are through to the cricket 20/20 final and the in laws don't have sky lol. Didn't lie for him though, I told his mum why, but she understood because she knows what he's like lol, also I didn't kick off because I don't feel up to visiting people at the moment, all I seem to want to do is sleep! Hope you manage to sort thing out with him honey x
