Yeah I tried some too and the taste was surprisingly familiar so either I tried it when my younger siblings were born or the taste is stuck in my memory from when I was a baby!!
Apparently it's really moisturising so if you have cracked nipples it's good to express a few drops and rub it in....you're right though, it is a bit sticky!
