Lo is 9 weeks today and I'm wondering if I should start feeding her on more of a routine now? I tend to just feed as she wants so on demand but sometimes I will feed, we play, feed more, have a nap, feed again etc so it's not one full feed then play/nap then another full feed a few hours later! Should I be aiming for this?

Also lo poos for Wales!! She can have 2/3 sometimes 4 what I call major full nappies a day with a few smaller parcels on between! Is this ok??

She has her injections next week and her (very late) 8 week check up so I can ask then but wanted all your thoughts! :) x

I only have a week of experience to offer but I was soooo concerned about how much demand he needed with feeding and how often he pood. Felt like I spent my day bf, changing, changing, bf, changing, napping, then continue routine...midwife wa not concerned as she said Babs tends to bf and poo immediately afterwards. Great fun.

As for routine, I cannot help sorry :( I jut feed on demand now obviously, but I do tendo say to him " you cannot still be hungry?" .... In fact I just heard him poo!

B would poo after every feed and a couple of full nappies inbetween just for good measure lol! X

Ok so I won't worry about poo!!!

What about getting into some sort of feeding routine, but like ff babies have a bottle every 2 hours for example?? X

Ff babies are different IMO to bf- I wouldn't bother trying to set a routine as its best just to look for the signs that baby is hungry and feed on demand

LO is still very young but eventually they settle down in their feeding routine x

I didn't try a routine but C now has his own routine. He wakes, plays, feeds, sleeps in 3 hour cycles. When we are out and about he will quite happily go longer because he is distracted xx

Ok fab will stick to feeding as she fancies then! I'm having to work the odd few days at my salon so thought it wild make life easier for whoever is baby sitting but they will just have to feed on demand too!!!x

My LO never really got into a routine for feeding, just went with her whims the whole time. Sometimes it would seem like she was establishing a routine of her own for a few days then we'd go through a spell where all 'routine' went out the window, just to keep me on my toes. I can't see how you could enforce a routine as they won't feed when not hungry and I can't imagine ever just not feeding your baby when they're crying and hungry because it isn't 'time to' but I'm sure it must be do-able as people do!

We got into a routine eventually, it just takes time. Then of course if they have a growth spurt any routine goes outta the window. Lol. Xxx

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

we never had a timed routine as such until T was weaned,
He was also never a baby that went once a week, more like several times a day, I was quite jealous of those that had once weekly explosions as ours were a daily or more occurrance :wall2;
