How much does your bubs nap/sleep during the day?

Trying to get Chloe into napping properly and wondered how much your little ones nap and what age.

C is 11 weeks and has already had a 2 hour nap and is now down again. She sleeps through the night 7-7 and worried lots of naps will undo this. But know they need them - argh.

She only used to fall asleep in her swing after grumbling and so only had hour or two a day!! x

Yeah Chloe used to be like this. But now gets uber grumpy due to being over tired so trying to sort out her naps.

Feel like i need a manual with her haha x

I still haven't got Angels naps sorted lol she sleeps through as well, hers is 7 till 5 or 6 usually but during the day she'll only nap for about 2 hours in total, in 30 min spurts. For some reason she just won't sleep past that point, even though she's knackered she fights it for all its worth. I've read and been told that re-settling them will help greatly with the length of nap time but it's just getting her to do it. I know LO's are more tired during a growth spurt too x

Yes Chloe fights them like anything. But i actually swaddled her today after speaking to you ladies and that has done the trick. She has gone off within 10mins both times!!

Just really really hope don't pay for it tonight lol x

Shouldn't undo chicky. Apparently sleep breeds sleep. Lucky you 7-7! X

yeah, the amount of sleep through the day should not affect their nightime sleep

Joe's naps are all over hte place, some days a few short naps and other days like today he had an hour between 8.30-9.30, then another nap 11.30-1.00 and has just nodded off again in his bouncer at 2.00!! I worry this is too much and then other days I worry he doesn't sleep enough!!!

i always give hannah the opportunity to sleep...always pop her in her basket. sometiems she has cat naps of just 30 mins and sometimes no sleep at all!! but i just think as long as i give her the chance, thats all i can do..

she is a little bugger for napping though...she will fight it and fight it.... but then she gets so overtired and grumpy early evening that her bathtime is a nightmare! xx

my lo still at 11weeks old only stays awake between 1-2hours so normally feed then has a play on mat or in bouncy chair then starts to get tired so I put her down for nap which is normal between 30mins to an hour each time she will sometimes have a 2hour one. she goes to bed between 7-8 and wakes for feed between 4 and 6 and then goes back down till about 7-8.

Thanks ladies. Yes she sleeps 7-7 with no feeds in the middle. She is also cutting down on feeds during the day! But she is a little chunkster so not worried. She is on 98th percentile lol.

I am following her cues and she has had about 4 1/2 hours nap today all but 1 hour swaddled and settled within 10 mins on all 3 occasions! So lets see how get on tonight.

But hope you ladies are right about sleep breeding sleep x

Harrison has aound 3 hours a day maybe a bit more or a bit less in 3 lots!! He does sleep on and off for 12 hours at night tho!!
