Girls, I am in a panic..
Spotting with blood, not heavy at all but not what I wanted to see.
Scared to go to the loo every time.
I am 12 weeks and this is my first, I know spotting can be common, but just looking for some reassuring experiences to get me through until Tuesday ( scan ) Really need some support x

There are a good few girls on here who have had that experience hun, Im sure they'll be able to help you xx

I had a bit spotting at 12 weeks and it turned out to be an unexplained mystery, and when I posted at the time loads of girls were able to give me stories of bleeding that had no ill effects so try not to worry x

hun I was bleeding 6 times by now! The first time it lasted for more than a week, then I was getting it just for a day or two from time to time. I had 6 scans because of that, each showing no problems with the little one.

I'm sorry that you are worried, but try and stay positive. The baby is quite big now, so if something bad was happening, there probably would be more symptoms then just a few spots of blood!

I would recommend to have a quiet day though. Try to lie down more - if you sit or stand up, there is more blood pressure on the 'important parts'. That's what I was told to do. It's good to know that you are doing everything you can, and the bleeding is not caused by something you did. That was the thought that scared me a lot - what if it's my fault?

Hope the spotting stops soon hun xx I know it's difficult - but try not to worry xxx:hug::hug::hug:

I've had two bleeds during this pregnancy. The first wasn't too heavy but was red blood. I had an ear;y scan then and was dated at 4.5 - 5weeks. I saw my bean with his heart beating away then. They couldn't find any reason for the bleed then.
About 4 days later, I had a much heavier bleed, so heavy I had to change pads every few minutes. I also passed a few clots. Rang the EPU and they booked me in for a scan 3 days later. The sonographer told me she didn't expect to see anything when she did the scan. But again, there was my bean with his heartbeating away. At that scan they noticed I had a blood clot just under the sac and that what was causing the bleeding.
I had brown blood and brown discharge for another 5 weeks or so, but have nothing since, and am currently watching my tummy being distorted by my baby wriggling around!!
Good luck for you scan. Hope it all turns out ok. xxx

I have had 3 bleeds and everything is fine with the lo. Last one was at 13 weeks and was unexplained. Get yourself to the EPU, just for reassurance

I've also had 3 bleeds honey and babs is still going strong! Good you're getting seen though.

xx

I had two bleeds early on and everything was fine, it's such a nasty thing to go through. Take care xx

Hey hun, I'm not much help so apologies for that.
But I really think that you should try not to worry. If you're distressed, baby is distressed, if you're relaxed and not worried, baby will be relaxed and not worried :D

Also I agree with the other girls, try to relax and stay off your feet.
If there is no excruciating pain I think you're totally fine :) Obviously you're worried and even I can understand that, This is my first pregnancy and I'm absolutely terrified of losing our little one.

Good luck at the scan, Tuesday is not long away at all! xxx

Oh hun, just seen this now. I'm sure its nothing to worry about, sorry I have no other advice but just wanted to send you a  and say good luck for Tues xxx

I had spotting at 4, 6 and 7 weeks. The first time it was right red blood. Later it went pink and then brown and disappeared. If I hadn't have been a member here I wouldn't have realised just how common it is. But always call your mw when you have any blood - that's what I was told anyway.
Hope everything turns out ok!

Thanks ladies. Hubby suggested I ring mw and when she checked details she told me I was rhesus negative. I don't know much about it and can't take it in, but had to go in and have blood taken.
Tried to do a urine sample and it was red!!!
Have to phone tomorrow and see if I need an antiD.

MW said she wasn't prepared to lie to me and said just because it was a small amount of blood, dosen't mean I will be ok, then again I might be fine. She was basically saying she couldn't say one way or another which I totally understand. What will be will be. On the way home we saw an AMAZING cloud formation of a big hand. I believe God is on our side, no matter what the outcome. Thanks for all your support ladies xxx

twilly, sending you a big

that's good that your mw is on the case, ever during the weekend/bank holiday! I can never get hold of mine.

don't give up hun and stay positive. Hope the bleeding eases up over the night! Let us know how you're doing tomorrow xxx

i had bleeding on and off for four weeks from just after my 12 week scan turned out to be my cervix. you should give the midwife a call if you are worried. when i got to see them the women said it was a common uncommon thing that can just sometimes happen to some people.

Awww that's lovely Twilly. I'm religious also and I know God is by my side.
I thank him very much for my little miracle!

Good luck with the results.
My friend found out she is also Rhesus Negative. This simply means your blood cells might potentially try to halm the baby or something or other. So my friend had to have needles and what not to try and prevent that from happening. xxx

how are you doing this morning twilly?

Hiya ilove, I am ok, no blood so far and have not had any pain. That has got to be good right?
I do get scared about going to the loo though!
Phoning mw to see if I have to go back for antiD.
Spoke to my mum and she said she is also rhesus neg and had to have injections all the time with her pregnancies.
I had no idea it was so rare, trust me!
All I can do is wait until tomorrow.
Pregnancy is not the fairytale I imagined it to be!
Thanks for asking hun, will let you know tomorrow how it has gone x

That's definitely good news! xxx

I don't know much about all this Res- thing. I know it's rare, but I'm sure doctors know exactly how to control it.

Tomorrow is not that far off! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and will be waiting for news! xxx

Thank you. Just called hospital and I do need the antiD injection.
Maybe it was a good thing that I bled, else we wouldn't have found out.
xxx
