How Many Of Our OH's/DH's Do The House Work?

God i should be so lucky for my o/h to even think of doing such a thing!!!

the title of this post made me wet myself laughing!
My husband doesn't even know the difference betwen the dishwasher and the washing machine for clothes!
i wouldn't trust him to do anything anyway.

I do all the cooking and washing!

He just does most of the house work and all the DIY jobs! Last week he went out and bought a new hoover, and he wont let me touch it! Everytime he uses it he cleans all the filters out before he puts it away, he's sat in the garden doing it now as i type  !

I suppose i cant complain, he does do a great job! Although he does insist on listening to his music while he does it, which im not too keen on as we have different taste in music lol

I am so lucky to have such a great man like him!

I'll loan him out if anyone is interested lol!

kris will tidy around but not to my standard!
he will make the house look tidy but has never bleached the loo or scrubed the sink

My OH will put sometimes washing on the line, iron and fold away the clothes, and washes up about once a week. I do the rest.
He's great at DIY and has been completely renovating our house room by room plus the garden too so I have nothig to complain about! Plus he works a lot of house so I guess I'm quite lucky.

My DH helps a lot around the house.... :D

Ok with DIY. but a demon with broom or hoover.... as long as he can listen to The Clash or Ramones!!!

Emilia xx

Richie will do it if i make him and i mean nag!!! over and over.

he is not working at the min so i told him he should be doing it while iam still working.

i wish he would just get up with out me saying anything and do the stuff!! but we can all dream!! haha xxxx

LOL! i think id rather have mine. He is hnady to have around for the DIY as he is a plumber/electrician and fitter! He would get in my way if he started doing any housework ithink. Theres only room for one woman in my house! :D

Andy will wash up after tea and tidy up when the kids go to bed but the rest he only does if i ask him to.

I suppose its more than some OH's do.

Matty will wash up every so often and if i'm watching something he doesn't like he might tidy up.

My OH helps I'm not a cook at all so he does all the cooking and loading the dishwasher, but as for proper cleaning like bleaching the loo and wiping window sils he don't do at all, but i prefer it as i know i would go over the bits he'd done anyway.!!!

Can't wait to see how much of it changes when little one is here

Mine is a little love.....he'll do anything cleaning wise, it doesn't bother him at all! It does take him about an hour to do the washing up though!
He isn't very good at D.I.Y. but he'll give the basic stuff a go.
The only thing he won't do (actually he would, but I won't let him) is cooking, he's not very good bless him!!
Even my Mum recently commented on how good he is and how lucky I am!

We both pitch in with mostly everything but I do the washing and ironing myself by choice. He does even more now im pg and is a massive help.

rob!!!!!!! cleaning windows

and as 4 the hoover   you wait till i see him lol

karl helps out loads around the house. but i have had to nag a few times (most time he does as he is told tho  )

Darren doesn't really do anything around the house unless I ask him. He has NEVER done any laundry in 7 years and if i go out for the day and put the washing on before I go ( i take the kids with me) it will still be in the washer when I come back! He sometimes does the dishes but thats about it! He did have the house spotless though when I was in hospital having Aimee and when I came home all the house work was done an the bottles were all sterilised and made up in the fridge.

Hi

Bernie helps mostly on weekends as during the week he goes to work comes home eats showers and only has an hour or two before bed.
Weekends he will somtimes do dishes and help with laundry either then that i do the rest as he cant do as good of a job lol.

Stuarts under a delusion that he does ALL the housework because he's a house-husband. He hoovers the middle of the living room floor (avoiding the edges) tidies toys, washes up and puts bin bags out.

He tried doing laundry when I was in hospital with Callum, but it took me 3 washes to rinse all the excess powder out. He's tried sterilising Alex' bottles, but wasn't sure how much water to put in (electric steam steriliser) and filled it to the top, then wondered why they took so long to sterilise. Maybe it's better to just get things done myself

My OH is pretty good i guess.
He does all the DIY and is great at it.He does all the car jobs too. He'll pick the dog poo up out of the garden and all the horrible jobs. He washes up sometimes at weekends, during the week he's out of the house for 14 hours a day :(
He once hoovered the bathroom and drew love hearts in the carpet with the hoover nosel! Ahhh bless him.
Thing is......like Dionne says....the household jobs he does is never to my standards. He leaves bubbles on the posts (yuk) and never bleaches anythng and has never cleaned the bathroom.
But i enjoy doing it all any way, but also lke playing the marter (sp)!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like most of us are quite lucky to have them help out then!

I kno i am very lucky that he helps but sometimes (well most) i feel awful cos he works all day then on his days off he is either doing DIY jobs or house work! He says he likes too and once he starts he cant stop!

Everyone always says how lucky i am and i shouldn't be over doing it cos im pregnant, and i feel like saying im pregnant not ill!

Anyway last night we came to an agreement, we will share the house work from now on cos i am starting to feel pretty lazy lol, Although i did tell him he can carry on doing the windows cos he does a much better job at those than i do and he has more patience lol
