How big is your house?

We've got a 4 bedroom place... DH and I have the biggest room, Tia the second biggest and lil miss the third. The smallest room was originally intended to be a laundry come utility room... but DH claimed it as his own and is now the cave where the grump old ogre lives... And yes... we need more bloody space. :shakehead:

we have built our own house its got 5 bedrooms 2 ensuites and then a family bathroom, huge hallway, then lounge, kitchen , dining room, and utility room way way too big for us 3 + 2 dogs but is built as an investment so we can live mortage free in the next house that we build next door! we live on a river and its very pretty

I feel very lucky but find cleaning it daunting so tend to wait til OH is back from work and we do it together!

Ours is big enough for me, DH, Lydia and Alex....although now that my dad is living with us it's a bit too many people.

It's a 3 bedroomed detached house. It's got:

upstairs - 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
downstairs - 1 living room, 1 dining room, 1 toilet, 1 kitchen, 1 conservatory

Sounds lovely!! I am v. jealous!!

We live in a tiny 3 bed starter home (mid terrace). All the rooms are small, but the kitchen is REALLY REALLY small. The smallest bedroom is tiny and we have our two PCs in there. Having said that, the house is big enough for us three.

Your question about would I work for a bigger house is interesting. We could have bought a much bigger detached house, however, it was always my plan to be a SAHM for a few years. We didn't want to rely on my wages to help finance a bigger home or stretch ourselves too much with a baby on the horizon. (TBH it has worked out well with the credit crunch too, as we have a tiny mortgage beccause we bought our house nearly 8 years ago, before the huge rises.) When I go back in a few years, then we can look at getting a bigger house with a fab kitchen. Being with my little girl during these formative years mean much much more to me than a posh house. (Although I can't help looking at all my friend's big houses with green eyes!!)

We live in a two bed -terraced. It's ex-council though so the rooms are massive! Big enough 2nd bedroom for two kiddiewinkles

We stay in a mid terraced house with 3 bedroom and a beautifull staircase. Out room is ensuite and thie kids each have their own rooms which are big. The garden is massssssive which is lovely and the best bit is......

our hot tub. It came with the house, a bit of an extravagance but very nice.

We emptied itand turned if off after the rain started in the summer but now its the frosty weather its on. I would be in it tonight but its not reached its temp yet. I will be tomorrow though!!

I rent a 2 bed house. Its a terraced house, its beautiful like an old cottage, with real wood floors and beams in the ceilings :) We have one large bedroom for ourselves and a smaller bedroom which would be perfect size for a nursery, hopefully it will be one day  We have a pretty big back garden/yard but no front garden at all. If we have any more than 1 child we would have to move.

right now were in a 2 bed terrace. No gardens/yards/path. The living room is big tho, its all the bottom floor. The bathroom and kitchen are an extension.

Im moving next week to a 2 bed semi, bigger kitchen and bathroom, front and back gardens and a conservertry. I actually have a big hall/landing area in the new house to. Overall its slightly bigger. But not much, it'll do us for a while i think. The biggest bonus it the gardens! roll on next summer!

3 bedrooms. Two are huge so we have plenty of room which is lucky because Jim works in the turret bedroom.

I resisted the obvious answer to this question ha ha...

We live in a new build (only year old) council house. 3 bedrooms, ours is massive, son's is big and daughters is small but enough for her. Has biggish bathroom. Bigggg kitchen biggg lounge, nice size playroom. downstairs toilet and under stair cupboard. For a new build COUNCIL house it is very big and would not move ever as it is perfect location for schools and town and family and OH work.

Im still living at home so...

4 bedrooms and a loft conversion

Theres my mum and dad, me and my sister who's nearly 16.

I'll be stayin here when bubs in born

we ra in a 2 bed flat, but its a big old building, so more like a wee house :D

it is well nice

Currently living in a 2-bed ground floor flat. Spacious enough but we are at max capacity now with olivia's stuff. However, we have just bought a house and are moving to a 3-bed semi-detached house with a garden in the new year. I will be sad to leave the flat but we need more space if we want more children and i want a garden as well. :D

We live in an old 2-bed cottage. Generally speaking it is deceptively big, the living room and kitchen are a good size, as is the bathroom, but the 2 bedrooms arent that great. Ours isnt so bad as we have recently fitted some decent wardrobes to make the most of the space, but the kids room is nowhere near big enough. Eden is still in with us at the mo, but will be moving in there soon. Sooner or later we hope to extend the upstairs and add a third bedroom. The kitchen downstairs is part of a recent extension but is only one level so we could easily build on top of it. Just need the money first .... We have a really big garden too, and massive drive at the side, which could hold about 5 cars. The one big downside for me is that the front of the house is right on the road so we have no front garden whatsoever and no privacy with everyone peeering in the window as they walk past
