How big is your house?

we have a 3 bed house which luckily has huge rooms (except the kitchen!!)
Only thing I dont like is our bathroom is downstairs, not great for a pregnant lady waking up nearly wetting herself every morning :rotfl:

Mines a 4 bed semi! Its ok! Two of the bedrooms are small though! The boys share one big room, Lucy has one room and Lola-Mae the other! We have an ok size Living room and dining room but a small kitchen which is silly! The kitchen is what you would expect in a one bed flat! lol Its a pain trying to dish out dinner for 9! (when OH's other children are staying!)

my house is 3 bedroomed mid terrace.

Its deceptively big, big lounge, big kitchen diner then bams room ave double room, my rooms is a large double and then the upstairs is the whole size of the house.. its bigggggg.. i use it to store all my shoes and clothes its like a big walk in wardrobe  then on the middle floor we have bathroom and then a seperate room with a mahoooosive shower..

Its proper nice house i was veyr lucky... especially for what it costs :D

god id love more room, the kids stuff is taking over!but we cant afford one and weve only been here 18months,still got loads to do to it

its a 3 bed semi, the lounge/diner is 28ft which sounds big til the kids get stuff out :rotfl: the kitchens small yet we have 3 utility rooms  bedrooms are a decent size and so is the bathroom.we have a front, side and 2 back gardens.one garden has the patio doors from the lounge onto it so thats our 'pretty garden',flowers etc.off that and down 3 steps is the kids garden,6ft high fence really secure and its got wendy houses, trampoline, sand pit, swings.slides etc and is all grassed.the dogs have a seperate run which is 8ft square but they only go n there to do the necessaries :rotfl: :rotfl: its easy to hose down.we live across the road from greenbelt land, feilds and woods so the dogs get lots of exercise there

I live in a 2 bedroomed flat which is very spacey. It has 2 double bedrooms and a large living room but the kitchen is tiny! If I could move the kitchen size would be the first thing I'd look at.

The spare room is the 'junk yard' for now. Until Aimee is 6 months she sleeps in with us, after that we need to get that room gutted and we'll be moving in as it doesn't have a heater like the main bedroom has. Would prefer Aimee was in the warmer bedroom during the winter as we are on the 12th floor and it can get really cold up here.

I would love to move though, a nice house with a garden would be lovely. :)

We have a 3 bedroom mid-terrace house, with good size rooms, apart from the kitchen which is really long but quite narrow! We've got a seperate dining room and utility room, and a decent size garden!

We don't have any plans to move at all in the near future. If we stick to two kids, they will each have their own bedrooms, or if we have another one after this, two will have to share but the biggest bedroom is huge so we'll just move everyone around so they can share it! The majority of both our families are all within 10 mins drive from here, and we are about 5 mins walk from a huge park with a lake which is surrounded by fields, and it's absolutely gorgeous in the summer!

8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms... in my dreams

gwad think of all the cleaning!!

We have a 3 bed semi detached house, miss my studio flat though when i have to clean it lol!!

not big enough, still waiting for council to move us
we live in a small 2 bedroom mid terrace house, with no space for anything i call it a rabbit hutch. im getting enviromental (sp) health in after baby is born and hopefully that will make the council get there ar*es into gear.
have been upto them and asked about being moved and all they keep saying is it could be a couple of months or a few years

I own a studio flat which doesn't even fit all of Finlay's rubbish in it

Currently staying with OH at his parents house and looking for our own place. Need to sell mine first

We live in an ex-council end of terrace. It's got 2 double bedrooms upstairs, and a playroom/guestroom downstairs. I can't see us moving as its plenty big enough for the 4 of us and backs onto a park and playing field so is great for the kids. I love my house :D

At the moment. TINY.

In the paper this week it is advertised as a 2 bed immaculately presented Terrace house with back and front gardens and parking spaces for 2 cars...

it should say.

1 bedroom 1 cupboard. No space. Gravel back garden the size of a stamp. Moss filled front garden complete with dead and falling apart tree. Car park with 2 squishy spaces a 5 min walk from the front door (a little exaggeration there, lol).

Although I do love this place the stairs come out from the living room. The kitchen is so small. There is no dining room or hallway or cupboard and the living room is really tiny. With our 3 piece suite, tumble drier, table, 2 pram and tv you actually cant move in here.

Oh and there is NO central heating.

AS OF 8th DECEMBER we will be in a 2 bed semi - centrally heated, driveway, hallway, big kitchen diner, big garden, storage and CHEAPER

10 bed rooms! BUT its been converted into 2 houses so that means we have 2 bedrooms a toilet, bathroom, sitting room and kitchen next to us have 4 bedrooms I think. Its spread through 4 floors. we have a hall then stairs then the washing room with joint clothes washer/dryer back and garden, then 2nd floor kitchen 3rd floor sitting room and our bedroom and toilet 4th floor bathroom and Ivys soon to be room when shes a bit older. :)

We have the keys to next door and our landlord is really nice. He stays here every few weekends in the house next door and some of the summer it is hired out for holidays. Its a nice quiet house because the divide is along the staircase and hallway so you only hear people if your in the hallway, but most the time its empty next door anyways.

4 beds (one is a study though) but the downstairs is tiny with one big room and a tiny kitchen. A lot of the houses down here have had garage conversions but we're trying to move to a bigger (semi or detached) in a slightly cheaper area at the moment; this is because we're a terraced and have a dreadful whinging old git next door who bangs on the wall when the kids make too much noise and makes comments in the garden!! It feels a bit like a goldfish bowl as we're so close to the neighbours and we have these massive windows!

The older girls have their own rooms; Ruby sleeps with us but if we're still here by next summer she'll move in with Rosie.

we currently have a 3/4 bedroom chalet bungalow with 3/4 of an acre out the back, we are about to extend and have a jig about so we end up with 3 double bedrooms and LOTS of room downstairs, i will start a diary if anyone is interested? maybe? about the build, i am currently on an extension enthusiast site (sp) and am gonna post on there anyway so i could keep you updated if you want?...god how boring do i sound! lmao, just ignore me.

Hi xrachx,

Sounds really good, it must be lovely to have a place that you can really make your own, and that lovely big garden - I'm envious!!

We're looking for a place with some scope to extend in the future - somewhere that we'll want to stay, and we can really make our own as the kids grow up - gotta sell this place first though!!

Good luck with the extension, will be interesting to hear how you are getting on.

Ill happily swop one of your tiny kitchens for mine, I hate it, its a fair size but its wasted space mainly and I dont have any brains to work out what to do with it!! we could ahve a dinning room table in there cant be bothered!
We live in a 2 bed mid terrace and for us its the perfect size when we have a child, we could have 2 s the back bedroom is huge and could easily be spilt into 2! We have a decent sized lounge and a downstairs toilet with main bathroom and a master bedroom toupstairs,
our room us small but has built in cupboards, we have a jungle outside to!!!
the only thing I hate about this house is its a stupid layout! the doors are in awkward places! oh well thats the houseing association for you!!

I have a 2 bedroom'd flat, the kitchen is small, ryans bedroom is tiny, my bedroom is a decent size and the living room is pritty big.

BUT im on the 3rd floor with no lift which sucks!!! lol

A 3 bed town house. It's not HUGE but it's big enough..

downstairs we have hall, kitchen/diner & living room as well as toilet and cupboard.

1st floor is 1 double bedroom which we currently have as a guest room and a single bedroom which is still a decent size and thats for Jack - also have family bathroom on this floor.

Top is our bedroom, it's massive and has ensuite and the room is gorgeous and the main reason we bought the house :D
