how many maternity pads ??

hey just wondering how roughly how many maternity pads i need for after birth i just got a load delivered from kiddicare, should 160 pads be enough to get me through 6weeks or too much ??

Ive gone through 3 packs of 48s and countless packs of 10 and it hasn't been 6 weeks for me yet!! You'll be surprised how many you go through

I bled for the full 6 weeks but I used normal sanitary towels after the first couple of weeks, I would say I used 2 big packs of the thick ones and a pack of the thin ones then sanitary towels. I did change them more often than necessary tho to be fair!!

You should be fine with those love, after a few weeks you will be able to use normal pads. It really is crazy how many you use in the first 2 weeks. Also if you run out I used sainsburys maternity pads and they were fantastic. I wore 2 at a time with the hospital pads and sainsburys one for extra comfort and to make sure there were no leaks x

I used 2 packs of fat ones and then used the slimline ones. Boots and tescos were my favourite brands for thin ones. The tesco ones were longer.

I didn't really need anything more than a panty liner after 4 weeks though

I would say thats more than enough for now lol.
I bought about 8packets of 10, i bled heavier after a my vaginal births than i did this time section birth x

After the first two weeks it's fine to go on to your usual brand of towel but be sure it's the highest absorbce . The longest I bled for was 4 months but it was only really heavy for first month and then eased off really slowly . lol. I'm sure you have plenty there ,xx

I had my baby 5weeks 2days ago and im still bleeding i started my period this week even though the post birth bleed didnt stop. i have used lots of towels but even if you have loads left over if your lucky enough to have a break inbetween you can use them for period.

I was doing 10 a day for 6 weeks, then a few less for couple weeks but I was cut so think you loose more! And if you use oil to help heal some websites say soak your pad, so if u do that you'll ne using even more!
