How long can you keep home made food in the fridge?

Hello,

Have baked some sweet potato for Sam and put it in individual pots. I've frozen some, but wondered how long can it be kept in the fridge for? Heard 48 hours...is this about right?

I'd say 48 hours max but if you freeze it it retains more goodness and can be easily defrosted when you need it. I always forget about stuff in the fridge and end up having to throw it away so just freeze everything and defrost it either the night before or in the microwave
