how do you swaddle?

Hiya

Just following on from other post, how do you swaddle with a normal blanket? I have been using a miracle swaddling blanket but haven';t the foggiest how to do it with a normal one!

Hi!

I put the blanket on the bed so it looks like a diamond, then I fold the top pointy bit down a bit. Lay baba on the blanket with head above the folded down bit and then wrap one side tight round and then the other!

When Mhairi got a bit older I moved the top of the swaddle to under her armpits so that she had her arms free.

Hope this makes sense!
