Just about to head up to hospital for my checks and pre section nonsense.
Little bit nervous as I always am before I go anywhere near the hospital
Always worried I'll get kidnapped by them for some reason!
Anyhoo will update when I'm home :)

Good luck! Hope you dont get kidnapped!! Im sure it will be fine! xx

I wasn't kidnapped :yay:
Everything went well and they've said it's my choice whether to have a spinal or general.
I'm booked in 3rd on Friday but still need to be there for 7.45am and have feck all to eat or drink from 10pm the night before!!! Not even a sip of water :(
It's completely my choice whether to have a spinal or general so BIG decisions to be made here!

Still completely pooping myself which hasn't been helped by an irritable toddler and my mum and dad being stressed out cause of dad's little op tomorrow.

Also thought I heard baby's heart beat drop a few times on the monitor but m/w didn't seem at all concerned...

Anyway that's the update :)

:yay: Glad it all went well and you haven't been kidnapped. Good that they're letting you decide about the general too..how soon do you need to make up your mind or can you let them know depending on how you feel at the time? x

So glad you get to decide which you would prefer. Gives you more control :)

Can't believe the latest you'll be seeing your little man is friday!! :D

Such a big decision to make! Good luck making it

Glad everything else went ok and I hope you're feeling a little mor positive about everything :-) Xxx

Glad it went well hun - at least they have given you the choice x Which way are you swaying toward ?

ah good to hear it went well. My baby's heart rate changed when on the monitor too, it went up when he wriggled and then slowed down when he stayed still, but I think there is a normal range so as long as it stays within that, theres no problem.

Nice that they are giving you the choice of spinal/GA. Services dont always like giving us pregnant women that much control but I think its important that you can make every decision for yourself, you'll feel better about something if you chose it instead of someone making you do it.

I've got my little list of pro's and cons and basically I don't need to be a big shite bag if i get the general
I do want to be able to go in and get the spinal it'll just be how my nerves fair on Friday I guess.
I think it'll be worse because there's alot of waiting around to do and more time to panic. I'm really hoping I can get a sedative of some sort before the spinal goes in.
I wish I wasn't such a wimp but hey ho we all have our fears and being numb and out of control are my two fears I'm afraid :(

Once I see my little guy I'll forget all about it though :)

exactly, the most important thing is for your baby to arrive with you both safe and sound, dont beat yourself up about it all too much. Just make sure you do whats right for you and the baby, so you dont have to live with any bad memories or 'what-ifs', forget what everyone else says.

Glad your taking it so well, did the hospital or midwife not offer to turn the baby manually before putting you in for a section? x
