Hospital Bag..... Please Help!!

Hi Ladies..

Ive never put together my hospital bag before and ive looked at some lists and there just seems to be soo much stuff on there! im not in the best of moods today and just simple cant be bothered to trail through lists and list of stuff people say we need!!

So would you kind ladies just tell me what you have in your bags so i can just copy it down from here and start sorting it out, otherwise i will prob end up putting it off again..

I'm probably not the best person to answer this if you're in a 'can't be bothered' kind mood, lol! But here goes

I have three smallish bags, one for me, one for baby clothes/blankets and one for nappies etc.

I went a bit overboard, as you can see! I'm sure there's stuff I've missed out, too.
I'll also be packing some magazines and snacks/drinks a bit nearer the time, and I've stuck post-it notes to the front door saying: Remember phone & Charger, Maternity notes, spare change!

I think visitors think I'm a bit mental! But it makes me feel better

Oooh this is great ladies. Thank you. I couldn't bring myself to trawl through the hospital bag one in labour and birth either as it was added to in dribs and drabs, but seeing contents of your actual bags in a thread like this is fab! x

I'm scared about packing my bag cuz I always go OTT when I go on holiday and stuff so for the birth of LO I'm gonna be carrying bag fulls of stuff and then I'll end up forget essential equipment lmao like my pants, or camera or sumat... or the baby's babygrows. Good job my mom has said she will help me, getting the job done next week hopefully x

Im so glad someone started this thread. i also cannot be bothered to hunt for lists of things. i even txt my sister and asked her if she would make me a list. but i'll just copy and paste your lists. thanks ladies

Great idea! I wanted my bag to be done a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't face doing it without having bought everything I could possibly need! I've pretty much got everything now and have washed my new nightie, PJs and socks etc in the sensitive washing powder I used for baby stuff, so I reckon I'll be packing today!
I'll do my list once I'm packed. Eeeee, it's so exciting! xx

Well I Have now 75% packed my hospital bag, all that i need to go into it now is some nightie/P.J's (need new ones) and just need to buy my travel size toiletries so proud of myself..(but if i happen to go into labour i do have some toiletries and nightie/p.j's i could throw in)

I have also 75% packed Charlies bag! just need to go and buy some early baby babygrows and a couple of packs of prem nappies.. (which i will have to do at some stage next week when im not at the bloody hospital - oh thats just tuesday then lol )

Just thought id tell you that apart from a few bits.. I HAVE PACKED MY HOSPITAL BAG!!! my nan will be so pleased..lol xx

In our birth class we were recommended to take those antibacterial wipes just in case the bathroom is not clean. I'm no clean freak but there are a lot of nasty infections in hospitals so these will go in my bf bag and it can give him something to do!

Phew! I'm so chuffed that Ive managed to fit all of my stuff in a little hand luggage case and baby's stuff is in the changing bag. I bought the Pac-a-Pod and thought it may have been too small, but it's great!
Eeeee! I'm feeling super organised now! Just need BIL to move out so I can get the house sorted xx

I am staying in for 3 days so i have to take a lot more stuff than i would normally
